Hitman: contracts... although it is just a rehash of previous levels. Anyways I can't wait for this game! I actually just mentioned it this week in a threat about games that need rebooting. I can't be happier. Here is hoping an on time Holiday 2011 release date.timeadept said:wait a second, hitman 5? there are only 3 aren't there? Hitman: Codename, 47 Hitman: Bloodmoney and Hitman 2: Silent assassin. Which one(s) am i missing?
ah, i don't need that then. I bought the three games on steam but actually never played codename 47. I was trying to figure out which came first, blood money or 47 and picked blood money. after that i couldn't go and play 47 because blood money played so much more smoothly and better.Kaytastrophe said:Hitman: contracts... although it is just a rehash of previous levels. I can only hope.Your Nightmare said:Haha, I think it was just a case of "See this guy? Go kill him however you want"Numb1lp said:I can only hope. I know story isn't usually Hitman's strong suit, but I am very interested to find out what happened to 47 after he went rougue.Your Nightmare said:True. But it's been 5 years since BM? I can't even begin to imagine what it's going to look like in comparison.Numb1lp said:I agree. Blood Money was a very intuitive, thoughtfully designed game. However, I would also like to see more exotic locations like in Silent Assassin. I thought they did a better job on the settings there than in Blood Money.Your Nightmare said:Man this game is going to be awesome (If it's anything like Blood money, we're in for a treat)
I'm feeling it's going to be like what Skyrim is to Oblivion.
I recall my favourite level being the one where you go to a little girls party. Killing her Dad on her birthday = priceless. (In terms of Hitman, I don't condone such action in real life..)
Ah, does that take place before Hitman 2 then? too bad it isn't on steam though, i might be able to find it on amazon.MichiganMuscle77 said:Actually, Contracts is a bit more than a rehash... not a ton more, but it changes things up a bit. Basically the story goes that 47 has been shot (you know the Curtain Call mission in Blood Money? As he's leaving the theater, someone dressed in a cop uniform shoots him, that's where Contract's story begins).timeadept said:ah, i don't need that then. He's in his hotel room hallucinating, having flashbacks of previous missions - some which were in Codename: 47, some which are new. Even the re-made missions are different, though, as it's perpetually raining through the entire game, it's always night time, and things have a much darker, sinister tone. Sometimes there even hallucinations in the missions themselves... like the ghosts in the hotel, which despite the shitty graphics, sent chills down my spine and raised every hair on my arms.
Contracts was actually a pretty great game, and my second favorite in the series behind Blood Money, because the dark, foreboding tone fit perfectly.
You just made me laugh so hard, you have no idea. I haven't doesn't that mission yet, is that in hitman 2? or am i just confused about when i did that mission in blood money, with the clown and the FBI in suburbia and the strangling his drunk-off-her-ass wife in the bathroom so i could steal her necklace? Cause i don't remember a little girl in that mission. (if there was then shit... i killed her whole family on her birthday)Your Nightmare said:Haha, I think it was just a case of "See this guy?
