According to my friends, I built a catapult and tried to shoot myself out of it, before going to bed, and I proceeded to sleep walk to a different floor of our dorm.
I woke up in my boxers in a dorm lobby.

That sounds a lot more like meth than alkohol.

When you start puking in the rooms of your friends, THAT was "the alk"

Only one more thing to ask:
Drunk or REALLY drunk?
Since there are (at least) five stages of drunk, choose wich one:
1. - "Last night was awesome. I really had fun."
2. - "Last night was awesome. I really had fun. Friggin' hangover."
3. - "Last night was awesome. At least what I remember. Friggin' hangover"
4. - "I will never, ever, do that again. I'd rather put my balls into- uaargh*puke*."
5. - "WTF? Who are you? Where are my pants? What? No, it's not tuesday, it's saturday! Or not?"

Good times.
you forgot:

"Last night was awesome. Who the hell is this girl? Where the hell am I???"
The part with the girl is, what I usually call an "awesome night"... ;-)
So, I selfishly implied it to be given.
But 5. is essentially what you had in mind. A total blackout.
And since this list is cross-gender applyable, I simply chose "Who are you?".

That. Though my reasoning might be a little different. I come from a long line of alcoholics with absolutely zero control around booze, so I figure I might as well stop drinking before I start.
Apart from the long line part, that actually is my reasoning.

But this Yuengling sure is tasty.

No no, you've got it all wrong! You don't lose control of your actions, you lose control of your inhibitions, so you don't give a shit what you're actions are! Fun for the whole family!

This thread irritates me but anyway.

First time, I spilled beer on my friend, made out with some random on a trampoline and laughed at everybody else doing stupid shit like this girl yelling out that she got her period and throwing a guy out of the toilet. Good times.

I can control myself when drinking anyway, unlike many others I have witnessed.

when I was 16, I went to a friends party and openly said "I want to get drunk tonight" and they made a concoction so putrid I couldn't drink it. Then I discovered my love of whiskey and shots :D

ok, ok. I might have sounded like an alcoholic there, but while it certainly is unhealthy to get hammered, it makes a far more interesting story.

I missed the "Last night was awesome" part of 5.)^^

ok, ok I confess getting hammered might not be a smart decision from a health viewpoint, but it certainly is funny.

Maybe I don't remember dancing on the tables last year, but so what? Doing stupid things defines your life. Maybe in 10years some antialcoholic might own thrice my money, but so what? I had more fun along the way.

So in conclusion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fmZCve025Q

Life might be more healthy without alcohol, but it sure wouldn't be more interesting.

It's all good and dandy... but to me, alcohol is more symbolic of people mingling togheter leaving their fear of strangers asside!

I'll partly quote "Uncle Roger" from the movie "Rodger Dodger"; "You drink that drink! Alcohol has been a social lubricant for thousands of years. What do you think, you're going to sit here tonight and reinvent the wheel?"

Not drinking just be unique or holier than thou is just as bad as people drinking to be cool... And there's alcohols recomended for health benifits too! (when drunk in specific ammounts)

It's not agains't the law, and it's one of the last few liberties of this castrated society we live in that we can really still enjoy! (responsibly tho!)

There's just as many flavors as there is music genres in the world! One day you'll find a drink up to your pallet! If you feel like it that is!

I've been drunk a fair few times. When I was wasted is the time to share though:

1) On my birthday I was so wasted that I broke down the toilet door whilst someone was still in there. I also gave my father the finger and urinated on the pool room floor.

2) On my pals bucks night we went camping. We had a competition of who could jump into the campfire the longest.

meh me running around telling everyone i was drunk but, it was my friends first time drunk to and he was so done. he was crying and talking about the universe and hugging all the girls. so i wasn't that bad. being drunk is okay sometimes, sometimes it isn't so fun. the important this is that the girls you are with are drunk *wink*

Okay fellow escapies, today was the first time I got drunk.
And by god it was awesome. I think it's better to just get slightly hammered with a close group of friends.
But I also managed to walk in on my friends brother's ex girlfriend topless.
But because everyone got drunk it just turned into everyone trying to make us both less traumatised but just ended up making it more awkward.
So what was everyone elses first drunken expierence?
I hope you enjoy the hangover in the morning. They are always bad, but the first is the worst. Hit's you like a truck.

My first experience was when I was 14... I'd drunk before then but I didn't get drunk. No 14 was my first experience. I was at Locke Park at the time. I'd gotten drunk and a mix of cider and vodka. During that drunken haze, I'd slept with a woman who was known at the school as a walking STD, left my clothes at Locke Park because I liked the cool feel of the wind (made sense at the time). Then I ran through one end to the other, ran home, got hit by three cars (escaped with bruising because the cars hit the brakes quick enough) and once I got home, I fell down the stairs and slept where I dropped. Thank God my parents weren't home.

I stopped drinking alcohol for about 3 years after that.

I made friends with a bush and then we parted ways on bad terms after I'd puked on it.

Nothing wrong with getting steamed now and again, don't know why people on here seem so determined to showcase their sobriety.

Haven't got drunk so far, and the alcohol I have had I didn't like. I've got nothing against getting drunk, I just don't think I will any time soon.

Because it feels really great? And it's a reasonable trade-off for increased confidence, singing ability & all-around attractiveness?
Dude, I can be confident without getting drunk. All I need is a mask. And how the hell does getting drunk make you attractive?

EDIT: Oh right, I forgot to mention, I have not gotten drunk, I have never drunk any alcohols, and don't intend to.

I agree. If you don't want to drink, don't explain your reason why unless someone asks. And even then you shouldn't word it in a condescending way.

well, you gotta admit, it doesn't sound very attractive given the responses in this thread.

It's just one of these things you gotta try for yourself.

just one advise, for all of you who want to "try" alcohol:

DON'T try it at some fratboy's party, not being used to is might end badly for you if you don't know your boundaries.
But as long as you are among some friends you trust, go on and try; it won't corrupt you or anything, as long as you don't overdo it, it might be fun after all =)
