How angry do you get when you play online FPS?

I'm not particularly good at online shooters, but I usually keep my cool and if I do feel the need to let out a stream of expletives, I always make sure my mic is muted first.

It very rarely comes to that though, usually only when I've been spawn killed one too many times. I figure when it gets to the point where I'm getting ready to yell at the game, it isn't fun enough to be worth playing any more, so I turn it off and go do something else.

I do tend to get really annoyed when I'm the only one on the team with a positive K/D spread. It seems that most people just don't understand that running out in the open and getting yourself killed isn't the way to win the game.

I dont. I dont get angry at all, playing any online FPS. Single player I do occasionally, just if it seems like the game isnt being fair, but mostly I remember its only a game. There is literally nothing significant in the world that will be impacted by whether or not I am winning or losing this game, and I know that. So I take it in stride. I play to have fun, and Ill be damned if some bad luck or rude players will keep that from me.

I don't get completely frustrated after every death, usually only when I'm doing very poorly.

I get frustrated and tend to swear a bit, but to myself not like full on yelling swear words. I tend to keep my anger off-mic if I'm playing with one as I don't want to come across like one of the loons you see on Youtube.

My brother remains pretty calm when on an FPS compared to when losing online on Fifa...that is one angry, shouty, controller throwing kid right there.

Usually the only thing that makes me angry while gaming are annoying glitches and epic lag. I've been known to call my teamates "pig f****ers" and other colorful insults on occasion, but that's more in jest than anything else.

I quit playing when I stop enjoying myself.

edit: The suck-tastic cheating in sports games does get on my nerves. Between the opposing players suddenly turning into a cross between Michael Jordon and Joe Montana and my players forgotting what sport they're playing, I can get a little steamed.

I'm generally very calm, the only game that succeeds in annoying me to an extent is Bad Company 2, on those occasions where you repeatedly spawn and die near enough instantly.

I am not a very good FPS player => I die a lot => I get frustrated => I don't play multiplayer FPS's a lot => I am not a very good FPS player.
And so loops and loops... :D

Bad Company 2 is not bad tho, tried it out at friends once, but never got it for myself :p

I prefer gamemodes like TF2's Arena mode where you die once and thats it. It doesn't let the annoyance from dying accumulate. I don't get angry in FPSs anyway.

With games like Halo, in which I want to keep a good K/D ratio, I tend to get pretty angry whenever I do poorly in a game. Whether it be the fault of my team or my own.

Games like Left 4 Dead, I really only get frusterated when I'm playing with team that has no mics. It kind of defeats the purpose of the game, which requires communication and teamwork. Otherwise, win or lose, I have fun.

Frustrated and angry sure.

BF:BC2 does it for me.

Hardcore mode. Get shot in the back by a guy hiding in the middle of our spawn.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Course once I get mad enough I say screw it and go play something else.

I only Get angry at Call of duty. Killzone, Bad company 2, I feel no anger. I think it has to do with, in Call of Duty, i think it is the Games fault, due to Lag, Crap hit Detection, whereas any other shooter its my fault, and i can learn from the mistake

I rage, but don't rage-quit.
It's an unholy rage when I'm spawn killed, or roflownd everywhere.

Is game rage actually a widespread thing? I've never met anyone in real life like that, and I always assume that in game they're kidding around. I guess not many people actually meet the people who take their games that seriously.

I'm not going out of my way to invoke the basement-dweller stereotype, but it's just squirting out and there's nothing I can do to stem the flow. Why won't anyone help me?
