Got hit by a car, caused a dislocated shoulder, various bumps and bruises and scratches as well as a torn ear and a contusion.

Stayed in the hospital for a week, nurses were great, food was meh. Had massive headaches for about four months afterward and I believe my right shoulder isn't as flexible as my left and my right ear has lost a bit of its accuracy.

The double splintering of my right pinky due to two bowling balls clashing together onto it makes for better cocktail party conversation though. I can almost hear the Looney Tunes theme whenever I describe that one.

corroded:
Stiletto, I'd avoid high heels as well if I were you.

Wow, I really don't think I can compete with fingers getting sawed off, people ripping ligaments, and being run over by car. Gah..

The worst physical pain I've been through that I can recall is when my hip popped out of place(something you'd think only can happen to older folks) while jazz running during band camp 3 years ago. I couldn't move the lower half of my body by myself for 2 weeks. Not really sure if that was exactly what happened, but the x-rays didn't show anything.

OH, and nip piercings are reallyyy painful btw.

Skull fracture, quad bike, wasn't wearing a helmet.
It's impossible to describe the pain that comes from your head being broken.

Deep laceration to a more important part of the body. Has been discussed in a previous, near identical thread at great length.

I broke my wrist after I fell off of a chair, landing on an ironing board leg. I was 4 years old at the time, but I can still remember the pain.

Also, I was 14 and had the crap beaten out of me by this older kid, just for sh!ts and giggles. And other kid's amusement, which made it even worse...

Broke my arm, while bowling.
Drinking as involved and I actually kept playing. (it wasn't a terrible bone-crushing fracture, I doubt I would've continued then)

I got into a fight once which left me with bloody knuckles, a massive graze on my left shoulder, split lip and severely bruised ribs. And yeah, you should have seen the other guy.

That said, being shoved up against a metal barrier at Opeth was painful once my ribs cracked. 3000 people pushing you isn't as pleasant as one might expect.
Opeth is worth it.

On topic: I broke my wrist whilst snowboarding, which was pretty painful, well not that painful, but still quite irritating. The worst part is that I had to board for about 10 minutes or so to the nearest elevator with my broken wrist.-_-"

I feel I should throw this in on the topic of pain.

Period pain is horrible. For those who have been punched in the kidneys, the pain I get is like the ache immediately after the first blow. For hours at a time. The initial pain wavers in strength on a few minute cycle from throbbing ache, to bearable and back again. Ibuprophen helps, but it's still FUCKING IRRITATING.
My sister thought it necessary to demonstrate to me when we were younger. It sucked the ass.

As for my non-sister-caused owies, a car hit me on my face when I was about eight, I fell off a nine foot high branch and winded myself on a protruding root when I was about nine, and I lost a fight horribly about six months ago.

It's a toss-up for me

1. When I was about 10 I accidentally shoved a pocket knife in between my thumb and index finger turning my hand into pretty much a fleshy pita pocket

2. A week before my 21st birthday I tried to "judo" flip my friend (we were both 250lbs) and landed on my shoulder. You know that sound when you're preparing raw chicken and you twist the joints backwards to break them apart? My shoulder sounded pretty much the same but quite a bit louder. It hurt so bad I was puking on the way to the hospital. When they did the x-ray they made me hold a 15lb weight to see how much separation there was which caused my arm to drop putting the ball of my shoulder against the middle of my ribcage. Completely separated ACL, 3 separated tendons from underlying muscles, detached clavicle, and a torn deltoid.

3. I was being stupid in woodshop and was drilling a hole in a stick of walnut for absolutely no reason. One of my classmates called my name and when I looked at them I released my grip of the wood and it spun on the end of the drillbit and hit me in the testicles about 15 times before I passed out and fell over.

I broke my sternum when I was about 10 years old. I couldn't move anything above my hips with out causing serious pain, with the exception of my forearms, neck and head. I ended up laying on a couch for several weeks.

Most painful... I broke my right arm at the joint. I can bend the bugger slightly backwards, so I fell over, extended my arm to catch myself, extended it too far, so when I fell the joint was pushed too far and snapped. The ball of the elbow then slammed into the nerve that runs down my arm (well, one's arm), knackering that in. So, elbow hurt like hell and the side of my forearm and hand felt like they were on fire.

Good times.

Hit and run.

Both wrist shattered, fractured cheek and eye socket, cracked back of skull, broken nose.
Yay for morphine!
You're lucky; you had painkiller.

I smashed my head open and they decided to stitch it together. No pain-killer, no anaesthetic.

When I was a kid this bastard tried to stab me and like a retard I grabbed the knife. Cut my hand up pretty bad. Other than that I've never had any stitches or broken bones or anything.

Nothing broken, yet. Tendons of my left knee were almost ripped, walking to the bathroom became a pain in the ass, once tripped and hit my right lower leg heavily against a sharp edge, every time it bumps into something (and it ALWAYS does) hurts like hell, and many many accidental cuts when I was younger.

Car Crash:

Bit my tongue in half - long ways.

Teeth went right through my lower lip.

Hairline fracture along my jaw.

Snapped my clavical clean in two.

Gearbox slammed up and broke my wrist.

Major bruising obviously.

Guy who hit me was an illegal driver; provisional licence, no insurance or tax. He came round a corner too fast after trying to jump a bridge, skidded right in front of me, no time to react, just remember bright lights then extreme pain.

Car behind was tail-gating, came into the back of me. I had no airbags, if I hadn't have worn my seatbelt would have likely been the walking dead; okay for 30 mins then just drop dead of internal injuries.

Happened on the 23rd December, had to eat through a straw for three weeks.

What do you think the bastard got?

Driving without due care and attention - 6 month ban.

No insurance, no tax - £455 fine.

My insurance excess - £550. A ruined christmas, had to re-take a year at uni, took about 3-4 months before my functioning got back to normal. How is that justice?
