I liked the beat for that one more, but I preferred the use of the Senators voice in the first.

But I just went for the first on I could find on Youtube anyway.

EDIT: They were both pretty awesome though.

People realised there wasn't enough porn, so all of the porn companies got together and made the internet!

The internet was instantly created in the early 90's when Chuck Norris made a single reverse charge phone call.

...it grew from there.

It was originally a network designed to allow the military to communicate more quickly and easily.
This, and more importantly to avoid information being lost if a base/outpost was destroyed.

It was started in the late 60s/early 70s, in a network between 3 key areas.

The Internet and the Worldwide Web are two totally different things. If it's the Internet you're interested in, then it was certainly an American invention. Credit for the Worldwide Web goes to Tim Berners Lee, a British CERN employee.
Yes, the world wide web would basically be anything browser based.

But loads of things are not browser based like online multiplayer for PC/console games, iTunes, Spotify, Torrenting, virtually any program's auto-update, Google Earth, blah, bla, blah...

Fun Fact, Al Gore never said he invented the internet: He was quoted off the record as saying that he helped create the internet. He may have even gone so far as to say that he created the internet (I don't remember), but come on, it was an off the record comment where he may have exaggerated slightly. And indeed, he did help nurse ARPANET into the civilian used internet of today. The man deserves some props for that, and that idiotic misquote screwed him over.

When thy old saints Bill Gates and Al Gore brought upon themselves from thy journey of 30 days and 30 Burger King-fueled nights to assemble the omniscient and ancient admins of ye olden Forum board and transcribe the legendary HTML coding unto the all-knowing Microsoft Word document.

And thus, the internet was born.

Amen.
