I was 4. I had just seen my first India Jones movie, and was captivated by the music, thrills, and completely over-my-head tongue-in-cheek humour. I wouldn't shut up about it for days. To the point, in any situation, (white or milk chocolate?) I would ask my mum "What would Indy do?". This is, unfortunately, no word of a lie. I was far too young to know how funny that question is in itself.
In order to accomodate my infatuation with something to stop me turning out gay, my mum bought a Macintosh. For this macintosh, she purchased "India Jones and the Fate of Atlantis". This is still one of my favourite games, and I finished it for the teary-eyed and heart-swelling first time when LA re-released a load of adventure games earlier this year. That had been about 16 years in waiting, because my game glitched once you got to the particularly epic balloon ride.
I have loved games ever since, but I will always have a very large place in my heart for that little p+c adventure.
