I find all the interesting topics and post on them, but I barely have any posts. People like MaxTheReaper who I've been seeing alot in the post I read has 12000+ post. How do people do it?

Well, I credit my abnormal count to my usual base of operations:
the Forum Games section.
I do venture out somewhat regularly, but I always go back.
There is much more freedom to babble there.

Just post on stuff you find interesting. It doesn't matter how many posts you have, however.

Some people post on everything, even if they have nothing to say. Others have just been on the forum for a very long time and have accumulated their post count. At the end of the day post count should mean little to nothing.

Basically start conversations with people on any thread, not to mention joining any RP game will net you quite a few post in a week. Either way, post count doesn't mean shit.
Any thread, huh?
Is that within reason, or just a general thing?

Though I have one stipulation: the count kinda represents the way you spend your time.

Take a lot of time, subtract a good portion of the life that fills it up. The result will be a giant vacuum, make sure The Escapist is close at hand. It will be sucked it to fill the void left by the lack of life. The result will be lots and lots of posts.

Yesterday, I posted 46 times. Of course, I had very little else to do on the computer; Cracked.com was down, and none of my friends wanted to play Starcraft.

Anyway, all I do is go out and look for interesting topics, comment on them, and have a discussion or argument here and there.

I find every thread and voice my opinion on it. Also, playing a forum game helps rack up the posts a bit. Now I feel like an achievement whore...

I'm not that active here but on another forum I frequent I've hit nearly 6k posts in about a year's time.
It's not really that hard to do. Especially when you are like me and spend most of your time in front of either a computer at home or a computer at work.
I also have "latest posts" bookmarked so every time I navigate here I get the latest topics, and generally respond to anything I've been quoted on. Unless the person that quoted me was just retarded, which thankfully isn't the case very often.

Well some threads would be a little more difficult than others, I think people would frown upon it in a forum RP. Aside from that i think all forums are fair game. By the way how are you today bob? Finally saw your picture on that pic thread. Its nice to see the man behind the madness.
True. Although there is the
conversation goes here
method of conversations in those.
Admittedly, I don't know much about the RP protocol, as I've only been in 2, but that seems to be the way it goes...

I'm doing quite well. And I'm surprised you hadn't seen it in the other threads...I think I've put that one picture up a few times...
Oh well!
[creepy voice]
So. What did you theenk?

I've only got about 1600, but I manage by commenting on everything that sounds interesting (eg this), and also getting stuck into a few RPs (I'm GMing my own at the moment)

I'd imagine that people like MaxTheReaper and NeonBob have so many posts from a combination of more free time and longer time on the site.

It's just a matter of what threads interest you. For the last few days there have been plenty of threads I've been interested in, so I've posted a lot. But on IGN, as a matter of comparison, I just broke 700 after two-and-a-half years
