How Do You Calm Down?

Normally I just get away from everyone, sit in a silent place and just think. But rarely do I need to do that, most of the time I am very rational and will listen to people, then calmly explain my side.

So, what about you? Do take a walk? Punch walls? Play games and kill everything in sight? Or are you one of those people who doesn't bother trying to calm down and rages until they can't rage anymore?

I actually find Xanax to be very soothing.

Aside from that? I play with my dogs. Pet a cat. Watch comedy on TV - "The Office" always has a way of making me laugh, which calms me down. Or I'll simply have sex with my wife; which is a stress buster if there ever was one.

I'm not big into rage at all. I prefer sex, Xanax, or petting a cat/playing catch with a dog.

A lot of people know not to fuck with me mainly because they're scared that I might pull Columbine on them. However, this doesn't stop them from testing me and making me mad. So after they piss me off, and I cuss a few times, I just think about how stupid they are or get back to the lesson my teacher is trying to teach.

So basically, I think about the idiocy of people, cuss a few times, think about school/home work, or just supress my rage again to not flip out on some unfortunate bastard.

Also, who the fuck throws Mike and Ikes at each other in a class where who watch movies almost all the time?

I keep myself alone, close my eyes, and just breathe. Maybe I'll listen to some music too.

If it's during the heat of an argument, I usually stop myself, think about what I'm doing and if the situation calls for it - I apologize.
After the event, I listen to some soothing music, watch a couple of entertaining videos, focus on whatever work I was doing or I eat. Simple.

I have various stress relief strategies in place. They allow me to vent anger or shrug off hard times.

I do karate/boxing, I listen to loud music and scream my head off, I play violent videogames and pawn face. I also write stories, listen to quiet harmonious music, and play simple videogames.

I have a chair in my apartment that is devoted entirely to reading + bourbon.

I either draw, play/write music, talk about it to a friend, or I grab a hookah and chill that way.

I just angrily mumble under my breath for a minute until the rage just goes away.

I don't get angry, I can't remember ever being angry after going into high school.

I'm very logical in my thinking and willing to compromise when appropriate. I know there are things outside of my control and that people aren't out to get me.

Seeing as its been so long, I'm curious if I'll completely lose it on someone when and if I get angry about something. Serenity now

Got to say, WRECK THAT SHIT!

Well if angry and alone, I'll just have a jerk, or when near / in a fight with someone I try desperately to change the subject to something we CAN'T argue about, if that doesn't work, I'll leave if the opportunity to. Of course, I usually don't get angry around people, so its just a jerk.

I sit down and stare at the ground. I have a war going on in my head and I can't focus or say anything that would make it better.
This pisses people off immensely. But I rather do this than to lose control and do/say something I'll seriously regret.

whenever I'm stressed or angry it take a piece of notebook paper and with some tears and folds make one of these; it really helps.

I guess it's just the feeling of the familiar motions. I've been making them for a long time and I can literally make one with my eyes closed.
