Yeah, I don't tend to let the hype get me worked up; all hype does it build up hopes for games that are ultimately decent, but are, at the end of the day, just GAMES! Hype has us feeling that every aspect of the game is going to revolutionaize gaming as we know it; next thing you know, a year and a half later, we're playing the game and once the thick hype coating wears off, the flaws seem to ooze from every pore.
Naw, even games I AM looking forward to, I don't bother with every new screenshot, web article, speculative forum banter, etc. I just wait patiently, and when it drops, I'm new to the whole experience and the only expectation I have is to have fun.
