How do you deal with anger?

I can just calm myself down in most cases. It takes a lot for me to get truly angry. If that doesn't work, punching walls does. I tend to be the oddball in my family, my parents and sister are all pretty emotional people and get angry pretty easily. I'm more of a calculating person, I almost always think things through before actually doing them.

Since I only seem to get angry at games, I just wallop the arm of the sofa. Because it's all the sofa's fault I suck at the game.
Screw you sofa, providing comfort and making me suck at games.

If it's something else, I usually just wait until nobody's around and pull some kind of angry face.
That, combined with the actions for shouting I do but without actually shouting (wavy arms of frustration, for example), must look really, really weird. But it seems to calm me down. For some reason...

Usually I try to seeth it out, leave me alone for a few days and my anger will dissipate. The problem is with school and work I don't have much alone time. Then I do this:

I get incredibly aggressive. I contain it for as long as possible, then usually explode in a punching-screaming mess. Funny, considering I'm a 5 foot tiny blonde female....
Beware the fury of a 5 foot blonde!

Dance. Seriously. I have no idea how or why it works, but it just does. Maybe it gets all my anger out through physical movement without hitting anything (Not on purpose, anyway)

I can't remember ever being angry...

I'm a realist at heart and as such often understand when bad things happen around me. So if its impossible to actually feel angry, I must bottle up whatever anger I feel.

swearing and going off to slaughter people in video games. if video games are inaccessible, I put on my headphones and pretend I'm deeply interested in what is going on

when I was yonger I would tend to break things, hitting a pillow would just make me more angry because it would just absorb my punches and it was like "haha! you can't hurt me! I'm a pillow!!"

I download some character skins on Garry's mod from a few anime shows, and kill the SHIT out of them.

And while Miku might not be from a show, she got her fair share of hot, vengeful lead.

Well, I used to play fighting games for the testosterone release, so I could just get over it... the only problem being that I'm terrible at them, which didn't help my situation at all(same with Dawn of War). If I really couldn't bottle it up or was alone and didn't have to, I'd probably just yell various swears until it was managable again.

Alternatively, play any game where I can design something. Choosing colour schemes and selecting skills or building around a theme really takes the edge off. Even better if I can then use whatever character or army scheme I've made and kill things with it. Hehehehehe...

I get really, really quiet - and kind of retire into myself.

Then I write a big long letter about how angry I am and what caused it, until I feel it's out of my system or I've exhausted my anger with it.

I then light the letter it on fire in the fireplace, or shred it; and I generally feel a lot better after that.

I live with this bubbling pit of contempt effervescing away in my gut all the fucking time.
I don't deal with it. There is no way to deal with it. It is just there forever, whether I bottle it up or let it flow like the boiling river of hatred it is.

I like to pretend that being eighteen totally makes me an adult and therefor excludes me from the "angsty" label.
I am wrong but playing pretend is fun.

I'll let you know what I do when it happens. I have a very long fuse and can't say I've ever been actually angry.

Whenever I get fustrated though I swear alot and hit whatever I'm closest to and if it's because of something someone's done I'll ***** about them for hours to whoever will listen.

Play video games, read, watch a DVD, or go to knowyourmeme.com or Newgrounds (or the Escapist, of course). Usually cheers me right up, or makes me forget what I was angry about.

I get my SCA-legal rattan sword, and use my pell pole... or I go to work, and rip roof. Either is really quite therapeutic.
