If there's nothing you can do about it, then all there really is left to do is move on. No sense brooding over what's already happened and what cannot be changed, right?

Me, for example. I just got rejected from Stanford. I didn't mope around. I moved on.

I am a bit more satanical about things due to me getting my hopes up to much, but because of it I actually have good tastes in games at least. But when your sinical and get your hopes in something it sucks.
I usually give myself a suck it up speak, think of the great things I have, and then I make myself remember that life overall rocks.

Remember this feeling, and never fail another class. Worked for me. Mark this feeling as something you never want to relive so next semester, you will work for straight A's so you don'T ever feel disapointement again .

"Suffering comes from weakness, to remove suffering , you must first remove your weakness .Hate weakness in other, but Hate weakness in yourself more " (Quote from some guy from Some movie i watched last night )

If I'm really disappointed I will try and sink myself into a good book. Potato chips, ice cream, chocolate also help boost a mood though I don't recommend doing it all the time, for obvious reasons.

Stare blankly at the wall for a few moments before getting over it.

I don't get disappointed that easily anymore.

Disappointment? Depends. If it's a real life disappointment, like maybe I've just realized that I'm not trying as hard as I should be and I could easily be enjoying some breathing space right now, but no. I continue my procrastination. Or, if it's some kind of video game disappointment, then I can always just scream either at my friend or the wall.

Think about it, consider what went wrong and why, probably rant and cry at a few people who are willing to listen. Generally wallow for a few days.
But after that initial disappointment things get better. To me, it's a lesson and seeing as I can't change what's happened, I move on and do my darnedest to not repeat.

Or just..y'know, steal hobo's boxes and burn them (the boxes).
