Well I sorta like it cuz the animation and the whole setup reminds me of the old shows on Cartoon Network.

Some of them are allright, like deathnote, although a majority of them are filled with the same cliches that makes me hate them slightly. Although asking a form of entertainment to have no cliches is a bit unreasonable. I do find those cliches particularly annoying though.

Studio Ghibli and Cowboy Bebop are about as far down the rabbit hole as I'm willing to go. No offense to anybody present, but the fanbase has repelled me from getting into it.

I completely agree with you there, I personally don't like the series that's just utterly ridiculous, I tend to think back to a line from "The Prestige" when Hugh Jackman performs a trick and stuns the owner Edward Hibbert, We'll have to dress it up a little. Disguise it. Give them enough reason to doubt it.

It's alright, I like the concept of cartoons and comics that aren't considered exclusively for children, but that's more of an issue with the norms of western society than the anime itself. Some is good, some is crap, you can't lump them all under one umbrella and ask for an opinion

It's alright. As with any genre, there is good and bad and it's all a matter of personal taste. I like that it tends to explore emotions, themes, and aesthetics that are somewhat absent from other genres.

I've only just started watching anime, I'm halfway through Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni at the moment. And it's completely awesome.

I have Serial Experiments Lain lined up next... that should be VERY different.

I live, breath and eat anime. I decided 2 years ago to see them all. Watching at least 1 episode a day. 2 years later I'd say I'm about half way there.

I can't watch it, I just really don't like anime. Its way too over the top and it feels like I'm watching a soap opera with extremely horrible actors that can bend time and space. Have chest like that look like Zeppelins and so on and so on.

But hey if you like it I'm not going to stop you, and hell might watch a ep or two if its a series I can halfway stand or I'm really stoned.

it depends on what style it is. i hate dragon ball z anime. i enjoy more naruto style anime. the less cartoony and humorous it is the better. id dont like most anime humor.

It's alright but ofcourse there are some people who are over the top WAY TOO FUCKING OBSESSED! It's not the only thing in the world kay? Some stuff is good and some stuff is crap, Naruto and Bleach for example are CRAP. I don't care what you say, Naruto esspecially is shit and I have seen enough episodes to know this.
