How do you feel about anime?

I used to like it heaps, but now I'm pretty much over it. I got into anime when the moe phase was starting up, and I cant stand that shit. Most of the anime being made now I feel is not worth my time, the last one i remember watching was eden of the east and that was alright. Now I dont have the energy i used to to sort through the shit to find out what I like.JimHarryinc said:

On topic, between being an admin in the anime fans group, being the resident Nanoha fanboy, and some of my Netflix choices, I'd say I'm a fan. Obviously I don't just watch anything, since nothing this season caught my interest and I consider Ikki Tousen(sp?) a personal insult, but there's still plenty of stuff out there if you look around, and I recommend Kino's Journey to anyone.

Hate it, it's so cheap, so tacky, the pace is far too slow in some. One Piece, and DragonBall spring to mind. Each episode is 22 mins, 3 mins intro song, 3 mins recap of what happened in the last episode, so only about 14 mins is on the actual episode, 2 mins for outro song too.
I like it... (the good stuff, anyway), but I like western animation pretty much the same way, so... yeah!

If those series are the kind of thing that you like, I can heavily recommend Ergo Proxy or Texhnolyze. Texhnolyze even has the same director as Serial Experiments Lain.PoisonUnagi said:

I'd call myself a fan, even if I haven't really watched anything in a few months since I have been trying to balance school, vidya games, and a barely existing social life.
There is a lot I can like about but it's balanced with shit that I cannot tolerate. Examples are harems, shounen that goes on for over 52 episodes, and some of the humor (even if I spoke the language and could get your shitty-ass puns it wouldn't make them any funnier. Puns are only funny if they are extremely bad).
I view it as a medium like anything else so why not enjoy it? (Unless it's a play or an opera or something.) It's like tv: not all of it is crap.
