The same boredom that made me squash it in the first place most likely.

That or the wide eyed terror as I repeatedly smash a rolled up newspaper on the slightly above average sized spider that crawled up on my desk. I have a horrible case of arachnophobia :(

I am an awful person for this, I know. But I use an air rifle to keep squirrels from digging up the front yard.

And when I peg one and it scrambles away, I laugh.

There, you know my dirty secret.

If they make my skin crawl and get in my space, they've had it. God forbid a spider crawl upon my bed, or it shall face my righteous wrath.

If it isn't actively irritating me, I'll let it be. I'm not really vindictive, just territorial.

Arachnoids - I like these guys, just wish they made webs somewhere else.

The mealybugs that eat my gardenias are a menace, they're like aphids! And I delight in removing the heads of japanese beetles, they can't eat my wisteria without a face! I also try to feed my pitcher plant with ants, because they're easy to catch.

Ha. Puny bug, I use my humanity to my advantage! I hope I have sown the seeds of fear into your kin!

Hours later, I am in a corner, in the fetal position, rocking back and forth, groaning, "What have I done?!".

They may be little, but they vastly outnumber us :D

Nothing usually. I have a soft spot for frogs though. I accidentally shredded one with a line trimmer working at a golf course. I made sure to stomp it so it could die quickly.

I don't really care. I don't want bugs in my room, and we have plenty of bugs. They literally came into the world to be the bottom of the food chain and therefore to die a lot. I don't feel I've done something that important, and the term 'innocent life' doesn't hold a lot of meaning for me.

I HATE spiders (the meaty ones) with a passion, but my friend eats them if you pay him 50p... Crazy bastard.

Just went through quite some trouble getting a wasp out of my room.
I'm not really capable of killing something, I guess.
Except mosquito's, but they're really asking for it, keeping me awake for hours.

hi people i was just wondering how you feel about killing things like spiders/bugs etc, just because i killed a spider and now i feel terrible. i think its stupid that i feel terrible but i can't help feeling that i just killed an innocent thing. i'm the type of person that will normally grab a spider and put it on a branch outside. How do you feel about killing the little things?
Grabbing a branch and putting it outside is likely just condemning it to a slow death of starvation. House spiders and those native to outside aren't always the same species, and house spider's habitat is your house.

So you can either let them crawl all over you and take advantage of you, or kill them. There's not much else choice. Nature's brutal that way, I guess.

I don't like to kill things unless I have to or have a good reason. Often I'll let spiders stay in my house because they don't leave too many webs around and they get rid of flies or other small insects that would attack my food. In other words, I don't mind them and don't bother them because they provide a service.
