Go about life as normal. It eventually leaves. If I actively try and do something then it makes me think of it more.Boxmeister said:Hey guys, this is something that's been bugging me,, how do you get something off your mind?
When something happens I have this thing where I look at it from every possible angle and dissect the hell out of it to fully understand.
Say someone hit their dog, I'd wonder why the did it, what makes them think it's okay, when they decided they were above another mammal, if it carries over to anything else, etc.
The only thing is, sometimes I can't stop thinking about the subject, and then it just gets to be too much.
The REAL sucky thing is, if my brain is actively thinking about something, I can't sleep, which leads me to rely on Valium or weed or something to knock me out after about 4 hours of staring at the ceiling.
Does this ever happen to anyone else? And if it does [hell, if it doesn't] is there any advice I can take away from this.
I'd say this one pretty much sums it up, but I'm still in transition to the 'back to normal' status. It's not as bad as it was, but it's still bugging me.LordCraigus said:the only time it kept me awake was when I was really depressed for a few months and that's gone now,
Indeed. Also, I just play games. Whether it be an FPS or WoW or something. Takes your mind right off it I find.3.141592654 said:I think you may have an anxiety disorder if this happens regularly.Boxmeister said:The REAL sucky thing is, if my brain is actively thinking about something, I can't sleep, which leads me to rely on Valium or weed or something to knock me out after about 4 hours of staring at the ceiling.
Instead of staring at the ceiling, write it down. Create something easy to write, like a journal of your thoughts. You might be surprised at the amount of writing material you come up with.Boxmeister said:Hey guys, this is something that's been bugging me,, how do you get something off your mind?
