How do you handle bullies?

I have a bully at school, who keeps kicking me, poking me, annoying me, and being a generally unlikeable f*ckhead. Whenever I try to tell him to stop, he says that it's my fault cause I used to kick him, but that was cause he was already annoying me and I was stressed out. So I can't tell the teachers cause he will use his stupid circle logic. And ignoring him doesn't help. Although I'm seriously starting to consider telling the teachers, cause I don't give a shit anymore about what the teachers think, it's not like they can lower my grades for it. I'm really starting to lose it and I've seriously though about changing school just because of this guy. And I can't avoid him, cause he's friends with my friends and he has the doggy determination to make my life shitty. My favorite moment would be when he's alone and I can kick him in the nuts with a cinder block shoe. My brother gave me a tip to hit hi in the spine so his back will twitch. Says that's a good way to annoy someone back. Or hit him in the face with a book, claiming he had a fly on his face.

EDIT: To clear things up, I'm not stronger than him. I'm very short, around 155 centimeters ( I think that's 5 feet, I'm from Sweden where we don't use that kind of measurement) and I'm not strong, at all.

EDIT #2: People here claim that it's cause I don't fight back. But here's the thing, I have fought back before, and he doesn't care. He still knows that he annoys the living shit out of me. It isn't that he gets a kick out of picking on smaller kids, it's that he finds some sort of entertainment in just annoying me. He already knows that I'm being annoyed, and he loves it. So that's my problem. He knows I don't fight back well (I'm a non-violent person and generally weak), he knows that I'm not afraid of him or anything, he's just an annoying bastard.

i told mine, and they hardly did anything, until 2 year after when a new teacher came, i told her and she scared the crap outta them for a while XD it helped a lot

also, do your other friends know he's being a dickhead towards you? if they dont, tell them too, see if they can talk to him about it

Well I wouldn't take advice off me, I just did nothing and got bullied for years. Hell people still pick on me jokingly cause I can't stand up for myself.

Too bad I can't get any revenge on him, cause he deserves to know what it feels like to be hurt and degraded every day. Thank God that my summer break starts soon. 10 weeks away from that hellhole.

They know that he's a dickhead, but I'm not that close with those particular friends, and they know they can't do anything about it.

If size matters, you're not hitting him in the right places. The crotch, the neck or the solar plexus are all good. If you can one-hit him, chances are he'll stop <3

They know that he's a dickhead, but I'm not that close with those particular friends, and they know they can't do anything about it.

I'd say tell the teachers, but that didnt work for me. They just sat there and did nothing. When i finally snapped, i ended up breaking a stool on the guys back and head and got suspended, so violence isnt always the option. However, a different bully (i used to get bullied a lot) i beat the crap out of him and he never bothered me again.
Seriously, i know its hard but make sure you don't let it ruin your life. And changing schools can be a bad idea, it can be quite hard to make new freinds. It solved one of my problems though.
I got this really bad nickname at one of my old schools, i had nearly veryone there callling me it and when thats a thousand people it can really fuck you up. I used to think about killing mself because of it or just dissappearing. I ended up changing school twice and never really found a good group of friends like i had at my first school and ended up being a complete outsider. I think it was totally worth it though.

Just rat on him and admit that you hit him back but always press the point that he started it and continued to do it, even after you stopped. If that doesnt work, ask to be moved seats.

Oh, actually, if he does it class heres what you do. Stand up, turn around and just yell in his face. Doesnt matter what you say, call him a fuckhead or whatever. Then sit down and act as if nothing happened. Itll be priceless.

There are a number of questions I want to ask.
1) Is it just kicking? Hard? Is it a "savage beating" or just irritating kicking?
2) How bad were you to him? How recently did you stop?
3) Do your friends like you more than him? Have you told them how you feel about him? Does he do it to anyone else?
4) Are your teachers fuckwits? Will they actually be able to do anything?
5) How old are you?
