How much noise do you make? Do you keep your mouth open? I masticate sometimes slowly, but usually fast so I can get it done and over with. Usually, I masticate like a cow, loud and with my mouth open. So what about you, Escapist, how how do you masticate?

Oh I used to masticate very little but I recently heard of a scientific study that indicated that lots of mastication can be good for your health. But not too much though. I do hear men masticate more than women and all things considered that makes a lot of sense.

I think like most people I wasn't too sure with mastication at first, how to do it properly but now I can handle the really hard stuff though if I try to do it too fast I have accidentally hurt myself. Then it's then hard to continue masticating but I do anyway, just slowly, and using only one half.

I like to masticate in lots of places. In front of TV, in the park, though not when I am driving. I mean if I was masticating and I was distracted and caused an accident I'd never be able to bear the shame. Well. Maybe a little mastication if I feel the urge on a long journey.

The most annoying thing about mastication is how many people mix it up with "masturbation" it is TOTALLY different, one and a half syllables different and they have nothing in common... wait.

I find it such a joy to masticate while babysitting. The kids always tell me it's not good manners, but I always ignore them. And then when they tell their parents, they just agree with me that masticating is a wonderful thing.

I love stuffing myself full while masticate. In fact, I'm masticating right now. I just love stuffing ice in there and masticating to my heart's content.
