How do you react to blood?

It doesn't bother me, whether it's mine or someone else.

On the whole band-aid thing, since 90% of my blood related injuries occur in the hand/finger area, I still use them, not only are they more hygienic by providing a substitute barrier until the wound seals itself, they also prevent that the wound/cut will open again, especially if you keep on working with your hands.

But cuts/wound on skin areas that are a little bit more hairy... I tend to keep band-aid free.

I have no problems with blood, in fact I find it quite interesting.

We were using a Haemocytometer (spelling?) in class and had to extract blood somehow. Needles, and big 'uns. One girl fainted, but the guys were spraying blood at each other. Ruined my shirt, it did.

If I get cut, then I usually just wipe it away and think nothing of it, ditto nosebleeds. Plasters are for wusses and children. /manliness

I am quite accident prone, and I am also pre-med, so I saw blood quite a few times.
My reaction to it is "hmmm time toclean the wound and patch it up"

I'm okay with it. I've seen several litres of blood flowing down a staircase and I was okay.

I regularly donate blood so seeing it flow into the bag gives me a pretty good feeling. If i injure myself its just a "meh" reaction. I do like the taste though

Blood is blood, what is so amazing about it? Or why to fear it. I don't like bleeding but I wont go bat shit insane if I do. Id rather swim a pool of blood than shit, piss I don't mind since it is sterile.

I am ok with blood. I can't donate tho because I am on a long term pain medication, but I would if I could.

being diabetic i see my own blood about 5-8 times a day. it just doesnt phase me anymore.

I once stepped on broken glass at the beach and watched the horrified looks of the people around me as i calmly dug the shard out of my now red foot and continued walking without so much as a "meh" (and a bit of stinging).
testing my blood sugar levels around squeemish people is barrels of fun too

also blood has an salty iron-y sort of taste just incase any of you were curious _>

My blood? Perfectly fine. Doesn't bother me a bit.
Other people's blood? Perplexing. I just kind of stare at it and my mind races thinking of everything dealing with their blood.

My friend cut his hand punching open a window (he's dumb; we're not really friends anymore. enemies would be a better way to describe it) and he showed us his hand and everyone freaked out, but all I could do was stare and think, "What's his blood type?", "How viscous is it?", "How long until it deepens in color?", "Could you taste the food eaten through the blood?", etc.
The injury itself made me cringe, though. Flaps of skin and muscle a good sight does not make...

Doesn't bother me too much. Last week I fell on my bike and stopped my face from hitting the asphalt, though that hurt my hands (especially due to small pointy stones. The result was that my left hand bled a lot from a gash, my whole palm turned red in a second, and the long walk home sucked.

I'm cool with blood. It's pretty handy to have around. So, you know, it's cool.

Now internal organs on the other hand...those need to stay on the inside, where I can't see them (hence the "internal" part of "internal organs").

I went to a Private Boarding school for a while, but after I got my nose broken, stabbed, shivved, someone tried to rape me with a lightbulb, set on fire (Matches and laser pointers)...

Well...

It wasn't a good school, but I got a lot of life experience, and now blood doesn't phase me, least of all mine.

generally ok. Im a regular blood donor. that said, once i was in the sick bay on IV when the nozzle came loose when i was asleep. when i woke up i was covered in a large pool of my own blood. first thought:" did i just kill anyone recently...?" second thought:"how did this happen if i didn't kill anyone? oh the IV nozzle..."

It depends how much. When I cut myself, I never notice I've done it but when I see the cut my finger suddenly starts hurting. So until I see the cut I'm alright with it.
If it bleeds loads, I'd go find someone. If it's manageable blood I'll just wipe it up and find some bandages or plasters, and get a little weak at the knee at the concept of it.

Squeezing out blood is horrible. I'm fine with it, but I'm quite squeamish at the thought of blood. The blood itself is fine.
