Everybody: Probably good chaps.
People with cute avatars: Funnily enough, I've never met somebody with a cute avatar who wasn't nice.
MLP avatars: Probably good, but don't like them anyway. Can't help that, sorry.

I only recognise people who've made themselves stand out. By either being a tosser or saying something important/hilarious.

I certainly recognise some people's names and avatars. (It kind of confuses me when people change their avatar- I forget who they are sometimes.)
There are some people who post consistently funny and cool things and others who post things that make me concerned for the people in their immediate vicinity.
(Bit distracted during this post, there are fireworks right outside my window. Shiny!)

I recognized a couple of users every now and then, but I've never made a concerted effort to remember anyone. I also don't frequent forums by category; I look at the "latest post" section on the homepage and post on threads that look appealing.

I've mixed emotions regarding my fellow Escapists. They are some quick witted fellows and provide a delightful exchange of thoughts, but there many whose's existence I'd rather not acknowledge--especially those who defend developers over their fellow consumers.

Root of All Evil certainly is an honourable mention, along with some of my fellow Scousers.

I recognize a bunch of people. Some I like and others I just view as that guy. I just outright despise Redlin5 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm]. I have no idea what others think of me. Or even if the people that I recognize recognize me.

In general, I view the community here as pretty decent. Probably better than most. Though people do have a tendency to complain quite loudly about damn near everything, I generally chalk that up to John Gabriel's Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory [http://penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19] and an odd sort of anti-fanboyism. I'm sure there's a tvtrope article or something about that. And sometimes people seem hellbent on correcting even the most mild error that doesn't really affect anything (no such thing as de-evolution).

All in all, I like these forums. They are the only ones I read and post on.

He was the first user I recognized in this thread. It's as simple as that. Doubt he recognizes me. I need a better avatar. T.T

I see them as a bunch of bronies, the veterans, a few I've bumped into somehow. I'm looking at you, boxhead! Oh, and everyone else...
Oh, and the ones with bad spelling.
I recognize a few avatars, and most of escapists are cool people. A few trolls, and a few I wish were trolls, but all in all a nice bunch.
We're one large, weird family!

There's basically four type of posters here. The first group consists of avatars/user names who I'll automatically read due to knowing there will be actual insight or something genuinely interesting. These types are rare and are the best.

The other type are filled with the cynical and contrarians. Although they can be annoying and derail a thread, they tend to add some spice. For being the same regurgitated shit they often post that is always predictable, at least it shows some emotion whether it be contrived or just wrong. Frustrating yet necessary.

The third is a weird cult like movement around here, filled with those who just want to appear as goody two shoes. Their posts read like followers of some order and getting in conversations is a waste of time. They have no stance, yet add to threads by playing a neutrality with the message that no one is wrong. I always feel like they are trying to secretly interject Christianity in people.

The fourth are post count fillers and are a complete waste of time. They view their post count as some type of godly achievement and will fill a thread with quick responses that add zero to the topic. There's a strong crossover from the third group to this one.

There used to be a group which this site is sorely missing; those who call people out for bullshit. However, most were unjustly banned. We need more like those and I have a strange feeling that the third group has infiltrated the mod ranks.

I don't really recognise a lot of people.

Some who have strong opinions, or who say what I want to much better than I can, really stick out.

Besides the occasional flaming leftist, I generally think of the users here as well-mannered, interesting people, usually with at least semi-interesting ideas. Most of the people here at least, although sometimes I do not see eye to eye with the way some of the people here evaluate a person based on comments. I often see a lot of ad hominem or other fallacies applied to arguments in a majority of these threads, but I would say that this site has a good base of courtesy.

And if you want to know how I view the escapists as individuals, I only remember a few people by sight or name, so most of you I just sort of visualize as I read your post, and then I move on.

I read a thread and if someone's an obvious troll or an idiot I add them to my ignore list so I never have to see their posts again.

I tend to remember most of you guys if you post often.I also think half of you are cynical-Yahtzee tools and only half can come up with their own opinions.

The truth hurts.

i recognise some of the posters on here, mostly those that are funny or have an interesting avatar, but you can group the users into these groups:

- 'really intelligent', have horrible social skills and are a misanthrope

- generally nice and gives helpful advice

- troll

- MLP lover

An ok bunch, a large number are surprisingly intelligent and insightful with intriguing perspectives on the world.

This place can deteriorate into bit of a hug box though, and alot of folks seem to of mistaken hipster irony for geeky enthusiasm.

But the thing that annoys me the most (which thankfully is a rare occurence) is when posters mistake idiocy for permissiveness- Im talking about threads like "prisoners should be used in medical experiments" or "incest is a good thing".

EDIT=I rarely know any posters enough to get a good feel of their personality but I do recognise usernames.
Doubt many recognise me, and if they do it'd be highly unlikely to be for a postive thing- I enjoy ranting/being a dick too much.

I recognise certain names and certain avatars, but I don't bother trying to figure out the personality behind them. There's too many, and I don't converse with these individuals often enough.

EDIT: Speaking of avatars, I' having trouble with mine. I tried to use my facebook profile pic as my avatar (My face isn't visible in it, so not a security or privacy issue) but all I get is a little icon. What do I have to do with it to make it useable?

Hello, I recognise you all as advertisements for people that I will one day own and exploit, before finally discarding.

Hello. You will be mine. Hello. Serve your purpose. Fulfill your function. Hello.

Try clearing your cache or browsing history, that worked when the same thing happened to me.
