It is very amusing to do this on animal crossing on the nicknames and new sayings you give the townspeople. also writing obscene disturbing letters in the towns bulletins gives me an occasional chuckle too.

A few years ago whenever I played Counter-Strike and was doing poorly I'd switch my name to D*E*A*D which of course was what was displayed next to your name when you were dead.

Strangely enough I was better as D*E*A*D than as my regular username of Aisu Urufu.

I also named several characters in various RPG's after inside jokes.

My brother names all the computers on his home network off of M*A*S*H characters.

I made a character who was black in Fallout 3 and called him "Token Black Guy"
I thought they already had one of those... Was Lucas Simms the only black character in FO3 that you actually had a good amount of dialogue with?

I can't remember

I've named just about every RPG character I've ever created "cockface."
Makes for some interesting dialogue.

Hey cockface! Over here!
Hello cockface, back for more shopping?
Cockface... we meet again.

I find it more fun to get a high score on an online game or arcade style game where you can enter your initials. For some reason, my initials always seem to end up as "A.S.S." or something of the like.

Yeh, but instead of having GOOD dialogue. I just imagined "Token Black Guy" running around saying 'Mother-Fucker' and things like that... was also pretty funny to see how calm your Caucasian Dad was too see his Caucasian wife having a black child.

Soon, I will make a DDO Character nammed, "Greaseis Apartybuff". If you have played DDO, you know.
I LOL'd.

This sort of deal isn't so fun in the modern day where games don't rent on catridges anymore.

Man, some of the stuff you'd see on game rentals back in the SNES days.

Earthbound you filthy bastard!

How can you exist without abusing the name system at least once?
I do it on Pokemon... Final Fantasy... Any MMO's I play... It just... has to be done. o_O

I usually call my caracter 'despair' so that in games such as pokemon it says someone was "beaten by despair". I find it funny because it sounds like they had an emotional crisis or something.

Also, I named my friend/rival in pokemon platinum (i think) 'c*nt' once, and at some point his mum pops up and goes "have you seen my little c*nt?"

It was freaking hilarious.

In WoW I named my character "Your". Then I sat in the middle of Ironforge and did an emote that said "account is being banned in 30 seconds". Scared the hell out of everyone.

Eventually some humorless dick reported me for it. But it was totally worth it.
Elle OH Elle
I swear you made me laugh, hard.

Edit: if you do a google image search for "pokemon learned harden" you'll get an oldie but a goody.

Probably not related, but if I see another name that goes like Naruto(insert random number), I'm killing somebody.

As I see my character as an extension of myself, I go for the coolest name. Never really did abuse that feature.
