In FF7 I named all characters Sephiroth.
So Sephiroth wants to kill Sephiroth because Sephiroth murdered Sephiroth, and Sephiroth have to take over for Sephiroth as team leader when Sephiroth is hospitalized, and so and so on....

Really funny.... The first few hours.

Oh and one time i messed up the FF9 characters; i called Vivi "a *****" and Dagger/Garnett was "_____", i remember the time dagger got her nickname, and zidane thought "what would a ***** say?"

I laughed my ass off!

I cannot remember the name of the game but it was an old JRPG for the original playstation. In the game your character was the son of a noble or some such thing so often the people in the first town would call you 'Master Smith' or 'Master Fred' or whatver you named the protagonist. My roommate decided that naming him 'baiter' would be the best so they would say fun things like "Hail Master Baiter!" or "I would so love to meet Master Baiter for tea"

the only note worthy name i have ever given a character was 'augustus von killbeard' which me and a friend decided was probably the most manly name in existance.

fag balls and fucktard II had there chance a while back but they just dont have the same ring as AVK.

Ooooh I've abused it so much I cannot think of a proper example. I fondly remember naming Cloud "transvestite", and laughing my ass off when time came. Oooh the times

In Mass Effect I named my character Jack. Cookies for whoever gets the reference.
That sounds like a "LOST" reference.

I seem to recall someone somewhere saying they named their character "I say" to make everyone talk like Foghorn Leghorn. I thought that was funny.

Nah, it's a Stargate reference. Jack is a nickname for people named John.
Interesting!

I also never noticed that LOST has Dr. Jack Shepard, and STARGATE ATLANTIS has Colonel JOHN Shepard....

I think this is all related to the viral marketing campaign of LOST..... :p

I have a character name that I like to try in all MMOs, just to see how long it takes the mods to delete him, and his name is, drumroll please .......

Don Key-Punch.

The longest he's ever lasted was 2 weeks on WOW

Kind of, sort of named a few characters in Final fantasy VII to inappropriate names because I wasn't really taking the game very seriously at first.

But of course, that came back to bite me in the ass once I realized what a great game it was. Kind of ruined the mood every time one of the characters was mentioned by name.

Since then, I try to keep my less than serious character naming to games where story doesn't play a big part of the game itself.

In Pokemon Silver i would always name my 'Rival' Douche so that all the people in the first town would be like:

"Some Douche kid was just here!"

Makes me lol everytime.
