I'm up for a challenge. But I did say in the OP these were SUPPOSE to be easy to recognize anime characters. I wasn't trying to throw any curve balls. If you recognized them all then the test probably wasn't made for you. I will admit I'm much better with series rather than names themselves.VanQ said:

So looking at the answers - I would've definitely have gotten #6. I guess my total power levels a tad low? gah! I think we have just different taste in anime. Why are they all girls? There's a lot different anime characters out there than cute girls.
Since my credential are being challenged I'll put up some more difficult ones. I'm sure you'll get a few of these but we'll see if you can get them all.

You know I think I'll add this advanced list into the OP as well as an aside. There seems to be a lot of people that recognize everyone on the easy list.
Gonna say 8.5, since I knew Vash was from Trigun, but I didn't know his name until I looked at the answers. Then again it says "recognize" not name. Ah well, I got most of em. Never even heard of or seen art/screens of the fourth one though.
I figured series would be easier to recognize and truth be told I haven't seen a lot of anime films that have been popular. Tetsuo would've been a good pick though. And something from studio Ghibli - Tortoro would've been a real good choice. I guess it slipped my mind.Shoggoth2588 said:

I've watched so many god damn anime and spent so much time on /a/ that there are very few characters that I wouldn't know unless it was from some extraordinarily obscure show. I'm honestly surprised to see 2 characters I had no idea who they were or where they were from from a glance. And I really should have known the guy from Scrapped Princess because everyone says it's good, I just never got around to watching it.
Nine out of ten of the standard, eight out of ten of the advanced. Roughly what I expected.
As for @VanQ 's list, I got three, and all three were characters I knew from other media instead of anime. I haven't really been watching new series for the past five years, to be honest.

She's my favorite character to go to when I need an obscure anime character.
The only one I didn't recognize was the fourth one, which seems oddly out of place amongst the rest who are well known. So I guess I'll do the second list.
