I haven't quit, but I'm not like one of those addicted people. I play it like once every two days and even then its only for like 30min.
aha! the first warning sign of addiction is denial!

I quit it once, and never started playing again, because I didn't have time for it any more. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life.

You might want to think of getting a new laptop if it can't handle WoW. Or if my avatar stutters on it.

I find this thread rather ironic because I just quite WoW there.

I tend to go off and on with that game when I'm bored I leave when I'm in the mood I return... (never for long though it has lost its magic since the first time). I mostly quit due to the fact the community is so rather closed off now with only one or two guilds being social and the rest concentrating on end game dungeons non stop which is rather off putting.

So I'll be returning to warhammer online next friday when I get paid.

I'm currently on my third "quitting." I'm pretty sure that this one is for good since I am just sick of the game this time around and not just quitting so I can make up excuses for quitting a game I really liked.

3 or 4 times, probably. Mostly because the mana nerf thing they did. Suddenly it wasn't fun healing anymore.

Only once. Here is the list of reasons why I quit:
- Hero class
- Bursty PvP
- You could play retri paladin with wheel and pedals
- "Link achi" retards
- I don't like paying 12$ a month just to work more when I get home
- I started (re)gaining consciousness over real life
- Some of my friends quit too

3 months without WoW ^^

I played it for three? four years? I lose track. And then quit. Once. Wasn't hard, I just went and played something fun.

Once because the raid guild I was in fell apart, and I just couldn't be arsed with it anymore. Then I started playing Final Fantasy XI, but with the (what I find) poor design choices and awkward interface that comes with a consolised MMO it made me miss WoW and I went back and one of my good friends was still playing it recommended I join his raid guild and I did and I haven't stopped since.

Two times i believe:

- Played it through the trial and didn't like it. (Was an L2 player at the time)
- Quit to play Aion instead.

I'm playing again now because NCSoft have been doing a really bad job supporting Aion. (At least in the west)

I played once for 5 months and then I quit. haven't played since.
Reason: Even thou I don't like it WoW is sort of the warcraft 4 and I still play Warcraft 3 TFT and like the game very much. I just hated Blizzard for making the "warcraft 4" a mmorpg since the story is sort of individual, but I had to try it, and I liked WC strategy gaming, easy and fast. But I understand them since this brings in tons of more cash.
End result: I quit because I liked the way Warcraft was, and for me still is, a strategy game!!!!

I got it, played it for a few months, computer got fucked over, mom blamed WoW, never played it again.

But for some reason I want to again. I still have the discs and all that good stuff, but I don't know.

I first played for about a year but it never ruined my social life, put it down and haven't touched since. I don't understand how people can become addicted to it, its not like you are smoking WoW lol.
