I don't remember exactly when, but I remember my first console was the playstation 1 and I got the playstation 2 not too long after, so probably either 1999 or 2000 making me a gamer for 11 or 12 years.

But it took me a long time to get the hang of all the buttons :p I was only four or five when I got the old PS1 so for the first few years I was horrible.

So the first game I completely finished I think was Ratchet and Clank in 2002. I got quite far in Crash Bandicoot, Pokemon Yellow and Super Mario Bros 3 but never beat them.

Systems I own/owned are PS1,PS2,PS3 Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS,Xbox 360 and most importantly, PC.

Last game I complete was portal 2. Great game.

If you mean video games video games, since the Nintendo 64 came out. The first game I remember finishing would be Super Mario 64.

If you mean any form of electronic entertainment, it would be when my dad let me keep his computer (which had Lemmings and Prince of Persia) for a while at home. This was... when, 1992? I think I was about six at the time, so that's about it. The first game I remember finishing would then be... well, still Super Mario 64.

I started playing when I was 3-4, when my older brother got the SNES, i remeber playing super mario, that epic duck hunting game that has been knocked-off to death, and Mike Tyson's punchout (I only watched my brother play it)

My legit gamer days started on the N64, then I bought the Playstation, my dad bought me the PS2, broke it after a year, got another one, broke it after 6 months, bought the slim-line version, broke after 2 years, bought the Wii, got tired of it and it is literally just sitting there as a decoration. Right now I'm 17 with a 360, planning on buying the PS3

o, and in 10th grade I was addicted to GTA san andreas (pc version) because it had the multiplayer.

15-16 years

First game I can remember (nearly) beating was earth worm jim 2. I could never beat Queen Slugforabutt. And oh god the For Pete's Sake level was just terrible.

Last game I beat was Mirror's Edge if you count replays, if you don't Portal 2 then.

Mostly been playing online games so not that many you can "beat", I'm about half way through a game called Chaser... [sub]Chico[/sub]

I've been gaming for about eight years, now. Up until I was about ten, my parents never really let me play videogames. They let me play a few point and click adventure games, like Put Put, but I didn't count them (don't get me wrong, though, I loved those games). Of course, keeping me away from videogames made me want to play them more. So I did my best to learn about videogames, played at friend's houses, anything to get me closer to gaming. Psychology is weird like that, ain't it. :p

The first game I beat? Can't remember. I know all of you have been gaming for so much longer than I have, but it's been too long for me to remember.

The last game I beat? Portal 2. Very satisfying, as well. I loved that game! :D

First game I remember playing was Galaga in the arcades. Think I was about four or five. I remember being stood on a stool so I could see the screen. So about 30 years now.

A lot of the games I first played were just for high score bragging rights. Can't really remember the first game I finished. The last game I finished was Portal 2.

29, I'll never forget that Saturday my parents drove to the Greenbrier mall in Virginia and we got our Atari 2600 from Sears.

I have a terrible memory, but the first game that I finished was Rogue Squadron 3D, shortly after that my dad obtained a copy of Pokemon Silver before the US release date (holy shit- my dad's a pirate!)

So I started gaming around '99, that means its been around 12 years.

Umm the last game I completed would be another run through Mass Effect 2(my fifth total)

Probably since I was 4, so 18 years.
I remember One must fall, Blake Stone, Jill of the Jungle, Duke Nukem 2, and Galaga on a tabletop machine down by the post office.

First game I remember finishing... Probably Blake Stone or Duke Nukem but I don't remember them all that well.
Very likely Snes titles are the first I properly remember beating but I don't have a timeline of when I did so.

Last game I finished was Dragon Age 2 I guess, I haven't been shooting for completable games recently. WoW, Oblivion, and LoL have taken up most of my time, hopefully Alice Madness Returns is a proud new answer for this within a couple weeks.
Edit: RIGHT, sorry, Portal 2. (Not forgotten for lack of love of it, just misplaced my timeline)

Also, jealous of everyone older than me that clearly remembers a lot of those old ones.

It's got to be close to 40 years now. The first gaming machine I remember buying was some sort of Pong game in the early 70's. (bought in the local hardware store, if you can believe that). I graduated to a Commodore Vic-20, where you had to type in the code by hand from magazines and store the program on to cassette tapes. You could work on a game for days before you actually got to play. From there I have owned or played all the gaming systems ( including several PC systems I built specifically for gaming). My last completed game was Portal 2 on the 360. It has been (and I hpoe continues to be) a wonderful ride!!
