Hey fellow Escapists, im just back in off a few jars in the local and was wondering, How much do my fellow escapists drink? Obviously I mean alcohol , now i was recently in the USA for a visit and found that my drinking habits by far exceeded the norm, but also that i was not as "adversly" affected by booze as your standard yank. :D good times lool. But that was my average drink on a night out, now im Irish, we have amongst the highest alcohol consumption per capita in the world :) On a Friday/Saturday night out i would start at maybe 4-6pm and finish between 2-3am drinknig around 10-12 pints and 2-5 shots, on a heavy session like a party or such it could be much more, how much do m fellows consume?

I am completely and totally tee-total...
apart from a glass of white wine when I was 16.

I'm a social drinker. WoW players in particular will know how that joke ends.
...but the joke's on you - I'm fairly antisocial.

Guinness. All and often.
This has often left me wondering "Hey, where did my paycheck go?"

I don't really drink alot, but when i do... it's alot.

My tolerance is quite high so it takes quiet a bit to do the job.

10 - 12 pints PLUS 2-5 shots would be way overboard for me.

I would simply stick to the pints-- in an event where I have a hearty pub within stumbling distance of my home, I could easily do 7-8 pints and have a wonderful next morning.

Adding on shots is a no-no that leads to nothing but wretching-- why befoul good beer before it has time to move on through?!

Basically, I don't drink anymore. I never did drink often, but it used to be that when I did drink I drank a lot, sometimes not stopping before I couldn't stand up any longer. Nowadays though, I don't even drink a lot when I do drink, and months pass between the occasions when I do.

Eww really fat man? Champagne is so gross...unless its really expensive. Even so, its for weddings and girls nights. Come on fat man, grab a propper pint.
But it tastes so damn good!

And, well, I am partial to Cider, if that counts.

I love ale of any sort. Budweiser's ale is pretty good. Also, I've been called a ***** for it, but DAMN if Smirnoff Ice isn't TASTY.

I've never drank to the point where I've lost memories, though. 6 cans seems about right for average. I'll usually drink like once/twice a month.

i work part time as a bartender and i usually have a beer or two whit some of the patrons, thanks to that i can hold quite a bit of liquor, 15 pints and 5 shots of rum is the usual (i do burn most of the alcohol by going to the bathroom every 30 min), but once in a blue moon i drink tequila, and when that happens i dont stop till the bottle is empty.

but keep in mind i have been drinking since i was 14 (in denmark its legal to purchase alcohol at the age of 16 so drinking at 14 is equal to start drinking at 19 in the states) and my work require a large liver of steel and judging by my friends i do drink more than whats considered average.

Ewwwwwww Cider and Champange? The two foulest brews I know, lol I know its all a personal taste but I could never understand the appeal to those drinks, would rather drink last nights gone off Stella than either of those... :)

I knwo what you mean about tequila, many a morning I have woken up with no money a banging headache and a severe lack of memory/diginity. :) You though are a hero, keep it up, i hate to see the drinking culture get taken away piece by piece :D

I like to have a beer here and there followed by a shot of vodka to top it off. Not really a heavy or social drinker. I prefer to be myself, less moochers.

I know its down to personal preference.
Oh, and Stella is one of the worst tasting drinks that has ever been my misfortune to consume.

it doesn't, beer, red wine (even that is only okay if your old enough to grow a beard without looking like a hipster and can pull of ear hair), rum, whiskey (even bourbon is just on the edge) and well, everything whit 40%+ can be drunk by a real man.

everything that tastes like sugar dipped in fairy dust whit sparkles of dreams is for the 16 year old girls.

I drink fairly often, but I don't drink a lot, I don't really need to. 4 or 5 scotchs will do the job, anything else is a bonus. I've been known to get completly messed up on 2 drinks though, that was after not eating all day and drinking while being on a bunch of meds...

I'm not good at drinking, I know it, my friends know it. So does the fire dept. that put me out.

A quote from the TV series Titus.

Seriously, I don't drink, both sides of my family has had problems with alcoholism, and my mother was the type that couldn't drink a drop, and she never did. I've always been afraid of that so I don't drink.

Whenever I go out and get alcohol, I drink whiskey. Or Long Islands, if I'm feeling partial. I like certain kinds of vodka but I'm not a fan of rum. Certain brands are tequila are good.

I don't like beer--or, rather, I haven't found a beer that I like and--wine is the same. I haven't really found one that I enjoy.

The drinking age is so high in the United States that most of us just drink illegally and by the time we actually are 21, the novelty has worn off.
