Even Angel of Darkness? You poor sod, only the metaphorical buzzards will find you when your through (so I've been told)Adam Jensen said:Quite often. In fact, I'm replaying old Tomb Raider games this month. From the first one to Underworld.
I am working on Star wars empire at war and Divine divinity and Skyrim, gotta watch those mods you have to install them in order and shit else things go bad fast. I am running Skyrim with over 15 mods 3 or 4 my own.Vandenberg1 said:So due to budget and lack of hours at work I have some time to play old games. I recently beat Silent Hill 2 (still creepy as all s**t) after over a decade... I currently just popped in Fallout New Vegas. Soon I may get Crusader Kings II, but only because Rome 2 mods crashed my game :/
Wow. It doesn't actually seem like it's been that long.Johnny Novgorod said:What's old to you, 6th gen games? I played nothing but 6th gen games until last year. Nowadays the oldest thing I'm playing is BioShock, which has been out for 7 years.
Good design probably helps, but there's the fact that it also got a few ports afterwards, and they also bundled the game with BioShock: Infinite as well. The Enquirer said:Wow. And yes, I play old games all the time. Love me some Timesplitters.
Well any game beyond 6+ years is considered old, but I did go back last year and beat FFVIII on my old PS1 so it's a crap shoot on age really. I can't stand FF X-2 and beyond so good luck with that. FF X at least has Rammstein in the last boss fight.DanielBrown said:Considering Fallout New Vegas is mentioned in the OP as an old game I got a very vague sense of what "old" means right now.
If we say at least ten years then sometimes. Recently played through FFVII/VIII again after I re-bought them for PC and I'm currently playing the FFX/X-2 HD box. Also had some fun with Spyro the Dragon and FFIV-VI before that(Final Fantasy was a huge part of my childhood). I'm very burned out on gaming at the moment, however, so my progress is extremely slow.
Never really bothered with any games pre-Playstation á la 1996 since that's when I started playing games. The few times I played on a Nintendo system before that was at my friends homes, so I don't have much of a connection to them.
Dat feel when I realise FFX is 13 years old.
Thanks? I don't care for anything beyond FFX either. The only redeeming feature of X-2 is that it was the last Final Fantasy with a decent combat system. Bought the original on the release date, but I've never been able to beat it as the girls and dialogue(among a lot of other flaws) sickened me. Hopefully the trophies will help pushing me through it.Vandenberg1 said:I can't stand FF X-2 and beyond so good luck with that. FF X at least has Rammstein in the last boss fight.
I just picked up every one of them in a recent Steam sale.Johnny Novgorod said:Good design probably helps, but there's the fact that it also got a few ports afterwards, and they also bundled the game with BioShock: Infinite as well. The Enquirer said:Wow.
