How often do you use private messages?

I PM a couple of people every now and then...and I use them to continue derailments that otherwise would have just been ridiculous.

Definitely don't use them all that often. In fact, the only reason I even realized people had PM'd me was because the number of new messages was getting stupidly high from "You've been quoted!" messages, and when I went to delete them, I saw two messages from people. Probably never would have noticed if I'm not OCD about stupid stuff (Like big numbers in my inbox) like that...

I don't private message anybody unless they private message me first. It would usually be something ignorant so I'd rather that the public see what idiots they really are rather than hiding behind me. Sometimes there are some nice messages though.
