How picky are you when reporting?

Do your borders go around "You posted vulgar comments/pictures, reported", or as high as "Your grammar is somewhat wrong, hammer on you!"? I'm unfortunately a bit too picky. I sometimes report when others would say he/she did nothing wrong. I won't go into details.

Hmm Trolls, not grammer trolls since they are untouchable it seems, i have never seen anyone report a grammar nazi, the reason escapes me since they all report trolling.

Just the basic shit thats blatantly there to antagonise people.

Why report? If you disagree with a comment/statement, or are a grammar and spelling nazi....then don't read the fucking post. Report buttons in forums always bug me because they serve no purpose to anyone with half a brain, and can easily be abused to sick mods on someone who doesn't really deserve it.

Listen, if you get offended by a bigoted term or some outlandish posting.....ignore it. Don't read it, leave the thread or something other than be a tattler. Exercise personal responsibility, something that is sorely lacking in this world.

Nothing is offensive till someone thinks it so.

If it's something I personally find offensive and distasteful, but wouldn't consider harmful to the public at large, I let it go. I'm big enough to let things I don't agree with be.

But if it IS (potentially) harmful, I report. Like links to suspect sites or pornography. That's not how we roll here on the big "E", and every report adds to the urgency.

I've never reported anyone, but if I was to start I'd probably only report people who were personally insulting me or my family. Cause I'm petty like that.

I usually only report if someone is being a complete asshole, derailing what is otherwise a heated or entertaining discussion or argument (argument in the proper sense, not two people shouting like morons at each other).

Occasionally, I will report someone for "This" or "tl;dr" comment, as they add absolutely nothing to the discourse.

I don't report anyone... period. Which sort of pisses me off, because when I say something completely appropriate, and that person doesn't, and the mods... just don't like the way I said such thing toward the person who wasn't being appropriate... then I get probation.

i don't report and if it really is that bad someone else will report them, i don't really offend easily, especially on the internet, i find it more funny than anything else
