No, US uses foot-inch, UK uses metric

OT: I'm 5'8"-5'9", somewhere between there (173-175cm)

We use a mix. For height, we use foot-inches.

I'm 6"1, which is enough to tower over most people- except this one guy at our college, he must be literally 7 foot, he has to duck under doors.
