How would WoW end?

WoW will end when me and my mates crash down through blizzards cieling window, throws down smoke grenades, plant semtex on WoW's main server and get out before the entire building get bombed to kingdom come, oh and the red cross will praise us for the millions of lives we saved.

Well after Arthas/the Lich King, you've got the Maelstrom with Azshara, the Undermine, Kil'Jaeden, and perhaps Neltharion and the rest of the Old Gods. That's enough for at least two or three more expansions.

Sargeras returns from his holiday in the Twisting Nether and stomps the fuck out of Azeroth.

Then in Warcraft 4 (the RTS), we get to collect what little people we have left and start rebuilding all over again, lead by Rhonin the biggest goddamn Marty Stu to ever be written into literature.

KNAAAAAAAK!

All players will simultaneously recieve the same message "GET A LIFE" along with a nice tally of how many hours they played and get special ranks depending on how long they played going from Loser to Nerd all the way until the coveted Virgin 4 life.

Actually, I have two or three friends that play WoW and get ridiculous amounts of ass. It's not even funny, really.

Just read the article on Matrix Online ending with the Matrix dissolving into nothing. Also read about how Tabula Rasa had the final fight.

WoW seems to be going strong, but after the final Lich King boss is revealed, will there be anything left? I don't play WoW myself, but I'd be interested in hearing how the saga ends in maybe the next 10 years, depending on when WC4 is released.

Or will the Horde and the Alliance go back to their never ending struggle?

WoW will end NOTHING! Clear ? WoW is a MMO and has and WILL never have anything to do with the story of Warcraft 1, 2 and 3 + Frozen throne. I am WAITING for Warcraft 4 (And OH YES! It WILL be released, like it or not) and then we will all find out.

WoW development will eventually slow to a crawl or a complete stop, leaving only achievement chasers, pvpers and RPers to stick around while the majority of the playerbase moves on to WoStarcraft.

Servers/Realms will be consolidated and the list will shrink over time, until one day, likely many many years from now, some re-org or company merger will result in some new execs turning off the lights. The now small community will cry bloody murder, but nobody will care.
