So last time we saw the German-Swiss war to conclusion, but clearly that isn't the end and rumblings of war have been felt in other parts of the world.

[hr]

In America, President-For-Life Trump is having his third election of the year[footnote]The only person allowed to run against him is Hillary, but no one is allowed to vote for her. Trump just likes holding elections so he can hold campaign rallies.[/footnote], after the completion of the Trump Wall with Mexico the US is facing a worker shortage as there are now no Mexicans coming in to take the menial jobs that true Americans don't want to do, so Trump's slogan for this election is 'Make Mexico Garden Again' (MMGA).

The invasion of Mexico is sudden and devastating. The American forces get stuck for a couple of months trying to get over the Trump Wall[footnote]Maybe Trump made it too high.[/footnote], but the invasion from Florida is able to sail into Mexico with no problem, taking the south of Mexico in no time and starts to work its way up towards Mexico City.

After a daring raid by the USAF where they bombed the Trump wall, the rest of the US Army is able to advance into the north of Mexico and completely surrounded, Mexico falls. Mexican slaves are shipped en masse to fill American jobs.

[hr]

This seems all well and good for America now, they've got a supply of cheap labour and President-For-Life Trump finally has a win under his belt that he will brag about forever. The issue comes when with this influx of new Christians into America the delicate power balance is disrupted and America goes to war with its self again.

This civil war is still ongoing when the next major world event occurs...

Clearly WW3 will happen when global warming destroys the pickled herring trade in Scandinavian countries.

Sure they might seem placid now, but without their fish they'll go Kingdom of Sweden circa 17th century on the world.

After all ... look at the Little Ice Age and its effects on North Atlantic marine ecosystems and compare it to the Northern European geopolitical situation at the time ...

Coincidence? I think not ...

You have been warned, people. Fight global warming now, or you'll get Swedes in your backyard.

You guys are all missing the obvious cause.

Mongolia.

They've been suspiciously quiet for an awful long time now. Very few people go out there, so you have no idea what they are hiding.

"Here we can see in red all the countries that can be considered communists."

*Red-marks France and Ireland*

Call of Duty: Ghosts had a more believable enemy-faction scenario.

"Next up we have the capitalist countries in blue"

*Leaves almost all Latin-America blank*

Oh, God! I can't take it! This map is so bad that I can't stop laughing! If Activision didn't had decided to stop putting campaigns in Call of Duty, I'd had suggested them to hire you.
Well, Sweden is apparently Islamic despite compromising all of 1.4% of the population(as opposed to the 63% of the population who are marked as "Church of Sweden".) That's a powerful 1.4%. Normally it just donates the uber-rich who influence lawmakers but here it's apparently muslims.

I'm also amused by Antarctica being a "Commie" Country despite not actually comprising of any nations at all and inhabited by a couple thousand researchers from numerous different countries across the globe.

And apparently half of Africa and all of South America are unpopulated and can just suck it.

Can we add some purple countries for balance? I don't know, countries that drink tea instead of coffee and thus are run by shapeshifting reptiles?
The muslim population in sweden is actually 8.1%. Since you can't accurately estimate the number of illegal aliens, only show how ineffectual our police is in deporting them, let's round it out to an even 10%.

WHat people learned from the last 2 workld wars is that the losers lose and the winners seldom actually gain anything.
I wish America had learned that lesson. We haven't been in a war we were better off for having fought, even a little, since World War 2. In fact, every war we've been since in has only wasted massive amounts of money and killed a ton of people with nothing to show for it, making the wars actively detrimental. Hell, the only reason World War 2 was beneficial was because our economy was so terrible and our unemployment was so great at the time that getting thrown into a big war ended up turning things around. I don't mind America going to war so long as we've got good reason and we'll benefit from it, but we've not had either for a long long time.

As for the thread question, there won't be another World War. Unless you'd call a few hours of horror was a couple countries with a lot of nukes bomb the hell out of each other and ruin both each other and the rest of the world a "World War." Nukes have made genuine World Wars an impossibility.

By extension, it seems to me the US could have spent it's way out of the crisis on something other than war, instead of waiting til 41. Big infrastructure campaign, say.

It isn't a civil war. It's Mexico rebelling and recovering what once was theirs. Remember the Alamo? Now the whole America will be the Alamo!

Technically you are correct.

In practice though they declare it to be a second American Civil War to get a lot of the southern American states to join them as they've been dying to have another go at the north for generations.

Why on god's green earth is the naval invasion in the second american civil war lauched from Alaska, as opposed to literally any other naval base along the west coast?

Hey, I'm not in charge of the American plan, that would be 15.5 Star General Barron Trump who came up with the entire plan.
