OT: I pretty much hit that Big Red Button everyone keeps talking about, then they seem to stop.
My guess is the button summons Captain Planet, who stops the flames before they begin to burn the nearby rainforest down.

So just push the button, and Do not add fuel to the fire by making any posts in said war whatsoever. No exceptions.
