Liverpool arent doing too bad, some signings I welcome (Suarez, Downing, Jose Enrique), others im not too sure about (Carroll, Adam), but id take this start over the start we had last season. Aiming for a top four finish shouldnt be too hard, not for the supposed "king kenny".

Following Wales in the rugby world cup , nice to see them go.through to the semis, but France will be tough task.

Jenson Button didnt win the championship, but he did win the Japanese grand prix this morning. Prefer him over Hamilton because he doesnt take an entourage of smug with him wherever he goes.

Stepped back on watching the New England Patriots, the games are on just too late in this country to fully get involved, but I do believe its going quite well, 4 - 1 I think last time I checked.

And finally, the Hiroshima Carp, I do once again try to watch/ catch up with what I can, but the severe differences in time zone make it hard to fully follow it as I used to, even the old *cough*questionablylegitimatestreamingwebsite*cough* has gone down, so I veeeery really see games.

Ireland were beaten by Wales yesterday in the Rugby World Cup.
Typical of Ireland really, everyone expects them to lose against Australia they end up winning.
Ireland were expected to thrash Wales, they end up losing.

Crystal Palace are doing ok so far. Beat the rivals Brighton (never did figure why it's them) a couple of weeks ago, and not losing every other game so far as well, so ticking over nicely despite all the previous problems.

On the national side, given up on english football, english rugby needs a rethink but woo for english cricket (it seems we english can only be amazing at one sport at a time).

Only difference of course is that Carroll was a bit more expensive than Shola so the expectations were higher.

Im just really annoyed that he doesn't seem to want to put that much effort into it
Look on the bright side, you at least have some good strikers, as opposed to the Demba Ba cavalcade

The Broncos are doing horribly, it seems that we've been playing against teams that actually want to win. It makes winning when we have three different quarterbacks with different playing styles and levels of experience really really hard.

Hearts aren't doing too badly as of late, won me £20 last week. Scotland aren't doing too shabbily either, beating Lichtenstein yesterday. Saying that though, they have to beat/tie Spain on Tuesdayand hope the Czech Republic lose to Lithuania (?) to get a chance of getting in the Euro qualifier play offs, which I don't think is going to happen.

Still, it's a reason to get drunk. So it's not all bad.

Well seeing as my American football team (the Miami dolphins) have yet to get a win and our qb is out for the year were not doing so good, at least I never liked chad henne. With th basketball lockout I can't root for my new York knicks the only team I like that is decent.

At the moment Arsenal are having their fair share of problems, but it could be worse for them (i'm not quite sure how though). England rugby got owned in the world cup, sigh. The worst thing about it was we lost to the french. On the plus side, at least England in football have got into the euro championship, though I have no idea how to be honest, the international team is dire bad.

New Zealand to face Australia in the semi-final next weekend. Not so sure if we'll beat Australia but I think whoever wins the match will go on to win the Rugby World Cup. So in a sense, next week basically is the final.

AZ Alkmaar is topping the chart in Holland (eredivisie)
Tottenham are in 6th in the premier league
Juventus are topping the chart in Italy(serie a)
Villareal are 12th in Spain
Hearts are in 4th in Scotland
And HSV are just being a disgrace in germany haha

Edit : Ireland are in second in their qualifying table and The Netherlands are topping their chart

Things are going great for the teams I support so far. Man Utd are 1st in the English Premier League, Swansea City are in the Premier League and not doing too bad in all honesty and Wales are in the semi final's of the Rugby World Cup against France. I would've preferred England in the semi's though, France are going to be a tougher team to beat imo.

The All Blacks made it to the semifinals, so I'm happy. Argentina put up quite a fight, but got hammered near the end. Bit worried about the next match against Australia, they will mean trouble.

Things are going pretty well.
My football (soccer) team Heart of Midlothian are doing pretty well with a new manager getting the best out of the team. Once they start beating the smaller teams and not just the likes of Celtic, we should do well. Just have to wait and see how the financial troubles pan out.

As for hockey, my Flyers have started off nicely with two away wins, and their first regular season shutout after 550 days(!). With what is essentialy a restructured team, this season will be interesting to say the least. But the first two games gave me hope.

The "mighty" Toon Army, Newcastle United, are doing better than in those wonderful dreams of glory I have, unbeaten 7 game start, 4th in the league, it'll never last, but its fun while it lasts. In more local news, Blyth Spartans are doing less amazingly, by quite a bit, hovering just above relegation zone after 12 games. In even more local news my team, the mouthful that is "Blyth Rangers Deportivo Under 16's" are doing even worse, losing all our games so far, and we are 4 games in, playing another match in a few hours, hopefully we can stop this dire start.
Casual newcastle fan here, dead chuffed with where they are at the minute, although i suspects arsenals fall from grace helped a lot. But with liverpool below us, we may lose the 4th spot pretty easily :/

I hate how football has had few upsets this year, except for arsenal. Remember when a team from Yorkshire managed to beat man united? That was hilarious.

Not as hot as I would like. I'm a Steelers fan. Went from SB contenders to 2-2 in five months...

Not that I'm not thrilled at our fantastic start, but I really don't understand how we're unbeaten as we only have one striker that's even half decent. Ameobi's never been good and, for all the goals he's scored, I'm pretty sure Leon Best is the worst striker I've ever seen. Any team that has Ba as their primary source of goals is looking to have a shaky season at best and yet, there we are with the big guns.
I read an article, and, according to Krul, Pardew has been doing wonders for the defense. Also going ahead we have a few good players, like Sammy Ameobi, who is seemingly not awful, or Haris Vuckic, who will undoubtedly be bought by a "good" team if he gets any good. Added to that our midfield is solid enough, okay Obertan is not my first choice, but we still have Cabeye, Tiote, Ben Arfa and Gutierrez. And, credit where its due, Best has been scoring, somehow.
To be honest We're only doing so good cos we haven't really played any really good teams yet, I mean Arsenal don't count as a really good team especially since we played them in the middle of losing fabregas and nasri and they hadn't bought anyone yet. But the toon are going to lose to Tottenham next game, maybe draw with Wigan, beat Blackburn (Carling Cup) then lose to Everton, Man. C., Man. U. and Chelsea all in a row.

Well, the Blue Jays had another meh season, and Roy Halladay just got eliminated from the playoffs. Manning's neck killed football before the season started.

On the other hand, holy shit Winnipeg has a hockey team again! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
