I will actually be very shocked if Tingle isn't[/b] in this game. Tingle is very popular in Japan actually, which is why he got the two games that are a pain in the ass to find and buy. >.<

I'm actually not much of a LoZ fan (because I didn't grow up with Nintendo - wasted childhood, I know), but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Dynasty Warriors, and the content that keeps getting release for Hyrule Warriors is literally making me drool at this point.

Certainly shaping up to be an interesting roster. But I'm still holding out hope for some majora's mask characters, happy mask salesman, skull kid, fierce deity link maybe even the Garo master would all be amazing additions.

Well, we know for certain there are at least 5 or so playable characters that are unannounced thanks to the character select screen you could see at E3. There were around 7 '?' character slots, an we now know 2 of those. So I'd say:

Goron
Zora
Ganondorf
Tingle
Da Bad Guy.

OT: I must say that Agitha is an odd choice, but her being there is promising for other obscure characters to appear too.
Ralph from Oracle of Ages would be a cool for example. Not sure what he would do, but they could come up with something.

At least Ralph has a f*cking sword.

I'm loving all the characters so far but AGITHA? If we're still farming from Twilight Princess then Ashei would be way cooler since her and Rusl are the only two combat worthy ones from that whole pub group.

I heard the last Dynasty Warriors game had over 70 characters. I don't expect that many here, but comparatively 50 or so doesn't sound like a stretch at all.

Well if we look at discussions this and last week, then we have 4 females and 1 that we're not sure about xD

I guess at this rate, we'll get at least 1 goron and 1 zora, maybe the big dude from Skyward with the hair?
Most likely some bad guys too, I'd love to hack my way through loads of minions with Ganondorf or Gihraim

Small jab at Ubisoft aside, the more I see and hear about this game, the closer I am to taking the plunge and getting a Wii U.

Dynasty warriors and "licensed" warriors games tend to be different, I do not think this will have anywhere near 50 characters, probably closer to 20.

With Dynast Warriors, those characters were added throughout the years over MANY games. The first one had about sixteen while Samurai Warriors had 15. That's probably the size of the Hyrule Warriors. Plus with the fact that characters can also have alternate fighting styles (like Link with the Fire Rod) that'll give more variety with fewer characters.

Anyway, with Agitha playable nearly no one is out of the realm of playability here. I'm actually surprised they've been revealing more female characters than male ones. Though admittedly I then realized there are probably more female characters in the series that can bring unique fighting styles than male ones. The only guys I can think of off the top of my head are the Deku Scrub, Darmani, and Mikau from Majora's Mask. Heck, the only other male characters thus far are villains with Valga, Wizzro (though admittedly Wizzro is more of an "it"), and Zant. It'll be interesting who else shows up.

That would actually be very interesting. Its heavily hinted in Majora's Mask that the HMS is actually some sort of agent for/has a connection to the Goddess of Time.

EDIT: Hell, MM has several candidates that would be perfect for this type game. Garo Master and King Ikana would be great additions.

That reminds me... Still waiting on a playable Ganondorf! So long as his sword is suitably phallic then the manly men demographic will be appeased. Oh hang on wasn't he a pig once? Mmm depends which version of him they use I guess. ><

Which could mean Skull Kid as a playable, seeing as how he got a part in Smash Brothers as an Assist Trophy just like Midna did and SHE'S a playable.

Definitely won't be surprised to see Tingle get in, especially is the bug princess (of all characters) got in. Groose...doubtful. Maybe as an antagonist just so players can beat the snot out of him, but not as a playable.

BTW...Agitha from Twilight Princess versus Viola from Pokémon XY. Which is the true mistress of bugs?
