They said at E3 that if you have a favorite Zelda character, you'll very likely be able to play as them in Hyrule Warriors, which is a bold statement.

I want to play as the hat from Minish cap. Think they are going to work that one in?

Actually the more I think about it, the more trouble I'm having thinking of any male characters in the Zelda-verse that are all that important. No they're focusing on the women in the roster.

The optimist in me says this is their way of saying that there is no limit to how far they'll go to add the most obscure of characters, so there's a solid chance we'll get Skull Kid and the like. But even still! Agatha? Was their an actual fandom for Agatha? I mean holy hell!

Awesome. We can trade outfits? Can we get some lobster jammies up in this (increasingly making me want to buy a wiiu) nook? I'm really hoping for about 20 or so playable characters. Even if they went for silly things like 2D link or Toon Link as unlockables or secrets. Maybe some Majora as an enemy? Skull Kid? Definitely want to see Ruto and Darunia come back for some knuckling down.

I never thought Agitha was a forgettable character. He theme song is still stuck in my head. Granted I forgot her name.

But man...who can forget the moments when you had an insect kept away from her and she silently whispers her knowledge of it from the deepest parts of her room before you leave...

Well, that's certainly one way to weaponize barriers. Definitely a new personality among the bunch what with Impa being the stern soldier, Zelda the demure and elegant lady, Midna the smartmouth tricksters, and Agitha the tranquil oddball.
