Saw something today that made me WANT this guy to just die. Every time I see a vanguard with a sniper rifle (especially the Widow) all I think is "this asshole is just here to get kills. He has no delusions about this being a team game at all"
a Vanguard with a Sniper?

HA!!!!!

He isnt there to steal kills, he is there to die like a ***** and rage quit when people wont rez him
Funny you should mention that, because I watched him get taken down by a grenade, then stood on top of him shooting the last few enemies while he bled to death. I made sure he knew I was doing it on purpose. I had all the time in the world to pick him up, but I just let the bastard bleed out to kind of show how much of prick he had been the whole match. He actually had Charged AWAY from me from me earlier in the match while I was bleeding out. You have no idea how pissed off I was.

You know what the best Vangaurd is? An Asari who just spams Stasis Bubble. Biotic Charge & Nova are lame and just makes it impossible for your teammates to help and work together. Bronze difficulty teaches Vanguards how to play their class wrong and rewards them for it. The same play style will not work in Silver.

Letting someone die is a context sensitive decision.

It's not worth reviving them if doing so will get you killed, or one or more of your other teammates killed.

Personally, when I play my Vanguard female, I go off on my own and pick off enemies. Or stand guard and make sure that no enemies sneak up behind my team-mates. I've actually risked my neck reviving my team-mates.

I usually stick to my guns though. Only because I'm in love with my Rifle. Pewpewpew...pew.

As much as I enjoy the Vanguard, I will say I do think that the Engineer is pretty important for it's debuffing role. However, I wouldn't leave out the Adept either. Crowd control is something that people tend to forget about in ME3. An enemy that isn't shooting you is damage you're not taking. Stuns, Knockdowns, Staggers, Lifts, all that stuff helps immensely in preventing damage.
The pinnacle of crowd control is Quarian Infiltrator against geth. HACK ALL THE ENEMIES!

At least that's how I got through gold :p
