i liked movies 1 and 3. the horribly akward romance in attack of the clones, and the acting of hayden christensen made that one the only actually bad movie of the 3, imho.
i dont get the hate for the first movie though. it was solid, had an interesting plot, and some very solid acting by the cast. though you cant really go wrong with natalie portman and liam neeson.

No, you pretty much just explained why its hated. My fellow bronies, STFU before you start, everyone else; that will be the last I speak of it. /)
I don't get why everyone rags of Halo. Like they call it a generic FPS... Imagine someone said that about Half Life 2 and divide by two (because I will mount your head on a spike).
I also... and stay with me on this one because this is going to get hairy and you're all going to give me funny looks... don't get why people hate Twilight. Yes it is a terrible series, but the main issue is that because we all hate it so much we've polarised the people who do like it into a ravenous horde of loud mouths thus proving; the more you hate it the stronger it gets. If we didn't share it and share our opinions one wonders whether or not they would have made the movies. I don't get it because no one is forcing you to read the damn things.
Just watch what happens with 50 shades of grey and you'll see my point
I'm sorry, I know they're supposed to be this really terrible band, and I know that in general I would be considered to have good music taste (if a little old fashioned) but I just don't see why people don't like them.
Sure there's nothing excessively deep and meaningful about their songs but they're good solid well produced pop-rock, and there's nothing wrong with that every once in a while. Sure they're not my favuorite band, but they're hardly deserving of all the crap they get.
Transformers: War for Cybertron. It didn't get lots of hate but a lot of people seemed to bash it. From what I remember people even called it a Cod clone because it had kill streaks and perks. I just didn't understand why people seemed to think so little of it, I thought it was a brilliant multiplayer game and loved the demo.
On the same trend, it also happened to Space Marine. I was really pumped for this and when the singleplayer demo came out I couldn't wait to try it. I really enjoyed the game and thought it did a pretty good job of making you feel like a space marine.
So I look online and see lots of people talking about how terrible it is because it's a Gears of war rip off. Yes people actually said that.
I just can't understand why people bash these games, I like both of them but I heard so much stupidity when it came to these two games.
A Thousand Suns was a literal abomination of an album, destroying rhythm, melody and harmony with angsty out of tune progression. It's an atrocious album, and I'm a fairly avid Linkin Park fan. And then there's Living Things, which is, for lack of better/more descriptive terminology, generic as fuck.
Linkin Park is more or less dead to me nowadays, and it's sad. They did so, so much great stuff.
Nickleback. I like their stuff, and their live shows are pretty cool. Yet just about the entire internet acts as if the band is worse than ass-fucking a child using a dead cat as a condom while beating up women. And then throwing up in their face. They get a disgusting amount of hate, and most of the time, there isn't even a legitimate reason aside from 'because they are as bad as "ass-fucking a child using a dead cat as a condom while beating up women.". I, honestly, have yet to hear a serious reason why people consider them the scourge of the music industry, especially when something like Nicki Minaj (SP?) is more popular.
That show deserves the hate IMO, although in all fairness I've only seen the first season. It was just retarded how they kept throwing in "shocking twist"s when even the writers themselves admitted to having no idea where they were going with it. It's like it was made for people with ADD that can't sit through a coherent plot without getting bored.
CAPTCHA: hallowed ground. Finally got one that's somewhat appropriate for the thread (kinda)!

Green Day really is an awesome band... cept I can't agree with you on their new stuff. American Idiot I enjoyed for the most part but I felt after that they just went downhill but that's just me.
All their stuff before 2000 will always have a special place in my heart.
I don't care if people hate MLP, but some can certainly calm down about it, and not shove the fact into the faces of fans so often.
OT: There are a lot of things I could say have too much hate, but people can hate as much as they want, because it's all opinion in the end.
Although, there's a fine line between legitimate dislike and irrational behavior, and some people need to take a nice long look at this simple message:
It's one thing to hate/be upset about thing, it's something else to perpetuate conflict over stupid crap.
Yeah, I'm with you here, I've never understood the hate for A Thousand Suns either. While I enjoy Living Things more than it, I still thought it was a damn good album. Don't understand the hate that is there for Living Things as well, in my opinion it's tied with Hybrid Theory for their best album.
Right, onto my choice, although perhaps it's more mockery than out-and-out hatred. Sonic The Hedgehog. In my opinion, he's only had one (maybe two with Shadow the Hedgehog) irredeemable game and that's Sonic 06. Besides that I've enjoyed every other Sonic game I've played (the main series, haven't played the Storybook series or the Sonic Riders one either). So I don't understand, after so many good/great games, why he gets so much hate. Is it because those two bad games were released one after the other so people immediately thought "It's fucked"?
You see, I don't see why Shadow the Hedgehog gets so much hate, it was a pretty solid game and it's technically a spin-off so it's allowed to be different
Oh good god I despise that video. Whenever someone links it to me I intentionally act more obnoxious just to spite them. Gee, I'm being very open with you people.

I've had a lot of fun with CoD, mainly with the co-op stuff (either the horde/zombies modes or fighting bots) but I have spent some time online. That time I've put in online - primarily in pugs on team deathmatch - has been remarkable for the lack of any particular communication at all. During matches, I've heard the occasional mild expletive but nothing over the top. Whether I have a good, neutral or bad match, I've never received any hate in or out of game.
Maybe I've been crazy lucky, or maybe the average player really isn't that bad.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a big one for me. I never understood exactly why people disliked it so much. The only criticism people seem to tell me is that "it has aliens", which doesn't seem like a good enough justification to so vehemently hate it.

[sub]Ohhh boy, there's an MLP derail incoming. I CAN FEEL IT.[/sub]
In all seriousness, I know that there is a phobia against talking about it but MLP really is an excellent example of this to me. It just boggles my mind why anyone would get so up in arms about it. I hear people say that they don't like it "shoved down their throats", but I really don't see that happen anymore than with other fanbases.

You must be really lucky. I am fairly good at CoD games, I usually do well and when I do very well, I receive some volley of abuse. I've even been accused of cheating/hacking and making a second account on XBL just to boost my Call of Duty stats (that was on CoD4) which is laughable. The funniest part is watching my rep on xbox live go from neutral/haven't given feedback, to 73% avoided after playing CoD4/MW2 for a few months and they put stuff like disruptive communication when I don't ever leave a party so i never actually have used ingame chat.
OT: Mass Effect 3 - sure the ending wasn't amazing but it was fairly average, but people say the entire game sucked because of it.
Granted, it's far from perfect, but it's still damn good. I wish it didn't repeat so many puzzles so often (I'm looking at you arbitrary wall cyphers), but the greater focus on using environmental hazards over straight bullets, plus the water physics, makes it a refreshingly different type of game.
OT: The Pirates of the Caribbean Movies (the first 3). Sure, they're silly and goofy. That's the point. They weren't trying to make a serious pirate movie.
What they made was fun, likeable, and genuinely entertaining.
If only the 4th movie hadn't been so horrible....
I do wish someone would make a decent Jack Sparrow movie, though. There's potential there, but you'd really have to go back to the first movie's style. Not as silly and more morally ambiguous. Ah, well, too late now.
Michael Bay.
I think that among his movies, the only ones that are genuinely bad are "Pearl Harbor" and "Transformers 2" (everyone started to hate on the 1st one only after the 2nd one came out and the 3rd one just got some leftover hate).
Uwe Boll.
this one is interesting because people only pay attention to his movies based on video games, which he admitted he hates doing but it's those movies that make him money. When he releases a decent movie like "Rampage", everyone ignores it.
Sure the story isn't as great as the first game. But I found the gameplay solid and enjoyable.
Also, the weapons, equipment and abilities, not to mention the AI had all been improved from the previous game.
Beaten to it already. The strangest thing is, the only complaints I ever see are that it is set in Rapture again and it's story isn't as good.
If it recycled any areas I could understand the former complaint, but it doesn't, it creates entirely new places.
With the second argument, people often fail to realise that a significant portion of the story is very similar to System Shock 2. It doesn't stop it from being a great story, but it is not as original as people make it out to be.
If you ask me, i got no problem with CoD enthusiasts and legit players, its more against the RETARDS infesing that community...
You know, the "call of duty is the greatest game ever made its so original its totally not about shooting stuff and teabaggIng all day for a whole damn series and MW3 is not the same game as MW2 because the weapons look prettier OMG ITS SOO GOOD bioshock ripped CoD off because it has shooting in it shut up im right" types. They need to burn.
OT: mass effect: paragon lost. It looks pretty cool to me, and the few flaws in the trailer arent THAT bad and would probably be fixed in the given time.
