I don't want to live on this planet anymore

So yeah this is going to be a minirant/discussion, just throwing that out there.

In the last 10 minutes a girl I went out with and loved for two years has detailed how her mother had a rant at her for 'losing her toothbrush', then later on that day when my friend ignores her, she grabbed her by the arm and pushed/threw her into a large wall mirror that had been leaning against the wall.

She now has 16 stitches, even more medication on top of others (anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, you name it) and I don't think I've ever been this angry at any single person.

However in the interest of turning this into something vaguely positive, what sort of mind-numbingly horrendous things make you want to pack up and get on a shuttle headed to the middle of absolute nowhere? :3

Came expecting another pseudo-philisophical rant or "Wow, everybody except me is a sheep."

Left disappointed.

OT though, I've always wanted to go on a shuttle o absolutley nowhere, alone. Not because I want to leave anything here behind for any reason. I just enjoy solitude and I like space. So I guess nothing makes me want to leave this planet.

I chose that quote as it also kinda ties in with that too...

Too many people around me seem quick to follow the next big thing and no one seems to strive to better themselves or anyone around them, it's... disheartening.

Solitude does sound quite nice right now :3

Neil Gaiman totally collaborated a book with Douglas Adamns on this, aptly named "Don"t Panic!".

Justin Bieber, so long as he isn't coming with me.

------------------

Just to clarify:
In the last 10 minutes a girl I went out with and loved for two years has detailed how her mother had a rant at her for 'losing her toothbrush', then later on that day when my friend ignores her, she grabbed her by the arm and pushed/threw her into a large wall mirror that had been leaning against the wall.
Do you mean your friend who is a girl, or her mother is in hospital (I would assume it is her but the way you wrote it is open to double interpretations).

Well for a start, get her off of those emotion neutering drugs. Those are so damaging to a person. Once taken a person will in theory be better but they will require to remain on them for the rest of their life because taking them worsens the depression (not sure on anxiety... but) if they are not on the drugs. It may be true that the damage is already done :( If it is, then she must remain on them, likewise if they do not let you have a say, by the time you change that... damage will have been done.

To be honest... I am fine with this planet... its a good planet, we probably couldn't get a better one anywhere else... Life however, I am not too sure on that... unless there is a God, but if there isn't and we just all die and thats it... it would make no difference to kill yourself now to if you were to die after being tortured to death, or even died surrounded by you happy perfect family after a perfect life. Sorry for being depressing :/

People in general used to make me want to leave the Earth behind for good.

That's changed since I'm in a highly positive relationship, which made me lower my guard and be more susceptible to seeing the good in people... and has made me more social.

The mind-numbing tediousness of it all.

The fact that all of our moral codes and social mores are without objective external meaning.

The fact that I'm really just an electro-chemical computer with the illusion of free will, whose only purpose is to propagate my genes.

Wait, what were we talking about again?

I tried to make it as clear as possible but my writing skills are slightly impeded at the moment ~_~

To clarify, the girl I went out with is in the hospital because of her mother, it's also the girl who is on the many different types of medication due to preexisting disorders.

Yes, I realize that this video makes no sense in this context.

OT: Call of Duty and WBC. Call of Duty is so addicting yet it's the one thing that pisses me off more than anything else. WBC, well, you know. They are fucking douchebags that should have been killed or disbanded long ago, yet they haven't.

The fact that I try my hardest every single day to be as thoughtful, helpful, loyal, and chivalrous as I can to everyone around me, but no matter what I do I am never good enough. All the time I am trying to not just be happy, but to be the kind of person who deserves to be happy, and yet karma consistently fails to reward me. The fact that all my friends are one by one finding love and contentment, and I am left alone and miserable despite the fact that I deserve to be getting as much out of life as they are.

Oh and genocide, that kinda sucks too.

OT: i'd like to leave just to see something new. against the scope of the known universe, i feel robbed of experience, trapped on this tiny rock.
