LANCE IT!!! ITS A BOIL!!! what comes out will tell you everything you need to know!

Yes, find a doctor. Even the smartest people who are medically untrained fall prey to misdiagnosis.

I'm glad that America doesn't have a universal healthcare system. Our country is full of obese bastards who are eating themselves to death, and I don't want to have to pay a penny of their medical care.
Yeah, and little children are dieing from easily preventable illness because their parents can't afford decent medical treatments. Way to go.

Eh, 2 or 3 stimpacks oughta do it.

OT: Is there not a free clinic in your area that can diagnose you?

If it's in the testicles and the neck? Metastatic Stage Four. You have six months to live.

Or, y'know, it could be insect/spider bites and you freaking out. Cancel that trip to Madagascar anyway.
You're evil.

Getting his hopes up like that, he only has three!

On a really, really serious note, free clinic. Or a large pin.

dude, don't freak, they might just be spider bites' or cysts, iv had plenty of those. give it a few days and see...
How does a spider bite your balls, and what spider causes swelling to the size of half a grape? This sounds pretty serious to me.

Oh and it must be nice to know where you stand as far as your dad's concerned when it comes to your health and money. Seriously, he sounds like a dick.

Wow you're reassuring.

OT, go to a doctor. This is a gaming forum. We aren't doctors. Why are you asking?

You could attempt to enlist. At the very least you'll get a free checkup out of it. If you can get in you'll have medical care.

That's what medicaid is for.
It would probably be a non-issue if American taxes didn't mostly go towards a stupidly large military budget. You could have a good army and universal healthcare.

Tell your dad that whether they have the money or not, something is not right, and you NEED to seek medical attention.

If he still says no, get a friend to take you. Or go yourself.

Just seek a doctor out.

Look man, you have to go to a doctor.
I have large hydroceles around both of my testicles and am getting surgery on Friday. I had to get an ultrasound, urine sample, and after that went to see a urologist.
Apparently mine have no known cause, I don't have any virus or anything, they're just there.

If you're worried about people looking at your balls, think of me, my left testicle is as long as my hand span. (Well it's not actually, but it appears to be that big).
The ultrasound really wasn't as weird as I thought it would be, and I didn't even have to expose myself to my doctor. (Only the urologist.)
So really, I'm extremely glad I went to see the doctor, even though mine are not harmless (just fucking awkward), I would be thirty times more worried if they were hard lumps. If they are hard lumps that means you have tumours (hard lumps in the testicles, there are no nodes down there to swell [only in the inner side of the pelvis]), cancerous or otherwise you MUST get them looked at.
And really, your father is really stupid. If you've got cancer, cost shouldn't be an issue, and he's a selfish twat.

Really? Someone thought it was a spider bite!?! I have had plenty of those my friends, but none are half the size of a grape! And don't worry about it man! Just because there is a lump present doesn't mean it is a buildup of cancer cells. It could be one of a thousand things. My dog has a lump, so we were worried it was cancer, but turns out it was just a far deposit. In my eyes, you have nothing to worry about, but I would still recommend seeing a doctor.

A lump? A lump! Nope cheeto. What? Humor is a cure all, don't judge me.

Seriously though my dad had one under his arm pretty bad, turns out it wasn't cancer, but to be safe definitely get checked out. Also if you ever feel the need to punch your dad in the face go for it.

OT: I don't know why you'd ask the escapist but I agree that you should see a doctor.

And even with medicaid, most don't quailify. It's a no win situation.

Research free/low-cost clinics in your area. I had a mysterious lump a few years back when I was uninsured. It turned out to be a benign tumor, but one that could have caused serious problems if left untreated. I was able to have it removed at a charity hospital that ate *all* of the costs of my surgery.

Now, I was lucky enough to be living in a big city with lots of resources at the time, but maybe there's something similar in your area. Look online for free or low-cost clinics -- most hospitals should have one.

If they are individual lumps, they probably aren't cancer. If they seem like more of an underlying (literally) problem they very well could be. Then again, The Escapist probably isn't the place to go for medical advice. WebMD could easily help more.

[sorry for the typos, I'm a bit irrational at the moment.]
*Cough cough* [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lymph_nodes]

Chances are you just have a low-level viral infection. Don't freak.

If they are still there in a week, go to the doctor.

And by the way, constantly touching/feeling them will just make them more inflamed for longer.
