Listen scrub. There are ways to get around people who spam fireballs and uppercuts. It takes time and practice to learn these moves and be able to implement them into a fight but it is possible to beat people who only play as ken, ryu, etc. Also, go play a game and try to spam fireballs all match and time them so that the other player cant avoid its acutally more difficult then you might think to never miss a single fireball.

Sorry to be slightly off topic, but is this game worth getting, if you are only going to play it with a regular Xbox 360 controller? Because I really want a decent 2D fighter, but don't want my experience to be diminished by the fact that I am not properly equipped to play it.
The "Shotos" are not the problem... i can't get the Charger down (Guile, Blanka, Honda)... and i have over 5000 matches now. Blanka is damn unstoppable for me... i am just too slow (cry)

Fireballs are what I have negative problems with. I know how to get around them with the characters I play. My main beef is their high-priority anti-air attacks. More often than not I get too close and end up eating a Shoryuken.sharkinz said:

Cammy user here, I must admit, I'm sick of seeing Shoto characters. I don't begrudge their use, just how fucking broken in terms of power and priority. When I get close enough I just lay the Cammy smackdown, using focus feints and just generally baiting them into making a mistake.
