Welcome to the club? Although, the example that you listed just sounds like you got outsmarted. Yeah, most people are assholes just savor the few that are actually decent/likeable.
I think I have seen this phrase so much my mind was actually blocking out one word in the sentence. I say this because for a split second I thought I read "I have faith in humanity"
Looking closer, because I was very happy for a moment, I finally saw the "No" and then my hopes were gone.
I feel that I have faith in humanity. Everyone loves to focus on the bad that happens but in reality there is a lot of good stuff that happens as well... Best example I can come up with is the Desert Bus Run that LRR does... do they have to play the most god awful game ever made? No... they don't, but they do to raise money for a good cause. This and many more things Give me hope.

And while somewhat counter-intuitive there is also an issue of over-parenting here, which continually reinforces that the kid is the center of all things. Kids do not need to be responsible for their actions because their parents are taking care of everything, and parents don't need to be responsible because they're busy being their kid's "best friend" rather then their kid's parent.Caramel Frappe said:
