I like D&D sessions but for some reason I just can't enjoy this show...
I don't know what's really wrong about it :p

Wow. Must be pretty sad as the creator being put next to Yahtzee every week.

Just look at the comment numbers. Ouch.

I love this series. I've never played D&D, but I dunno, I enjoy watching it. Dunno why it's on the same day, and pretty much time, as Yahtzee though.

Pretty cool to see the guy in a Phobia t-shirt as well.

Really? I'm excited we're put next to Yahtzee. I watch his show after I watch ours.

I'm still amazed that even though some people don't like the show, they still come back and watch it and comment.

Oh, and there's a whole thread of comments listing how unimportant comment numbers are in the popularity of a show.
May12 1ishpm. Comments on Episode 9:

Archon said:
danpascooch said:
Look at the threads under the shows, there are no clamoring "FIRST" that you see in a ZP, no 95% shared opinion that it was "good" you don't see barely any at all of "Keep up the good work!"

The people who post on the threads generally don't like it, and you have to understand that people who LIKE it are more likely to post than people who have stopped caring because they don't.
We definitely appreciate you airing your views and we are actually fair ruthless about cancelling shows that aren't doing as well as they need to.

But this is a case where what you think you know about how things work is totally wrong, and its leading you to false conclusions. We actually crunch the numbers on things like this very carefully.

In fact, users are more likely to post if they do NOT like a show than if they do like a show. A show that everyone likes gets very few comments relative to its size. For instance, our most popular show (ZP) has only around 3 comments per 25 video streams. Our least popular show has 25 comments per 100 video streams. The difference between them is an order of magnitude. And this correlation holds true for every show on the site. More comments per video stream means fewer video streams.

The reason for this, of course, is that on the internet, nobody has anything nice to say. People generally only post to tell you're wrong, like you did to us, and like I'm doing now. The vast majority of folks who liked the show enjoyed it and moved on without saying anything, just like I didn't say anything to all the people I agreed with.

If we used the comments to decide which shows to keep, we'd have killed every show. When we first launched MovieBob, everybody who posted said they hated him - go back and read how snide and mean the comments were. Now he has one of the most popular shows on the site. Go back and read about ZP when we first launched him. Tons of negativity about how we ruined The Escapist.

The actual metric of interest is thus not the number of negative comments, but the rate of change of comments versus traffic over time.

By those metrics, we see Axe growing.

Honestly? I actually happen to quite like Axe. The idea that anyone can be a closet geek is oddly comforting to me, a public metalhead and gym rat but secret nerd du jour.

Plus I'm developing a growing crush on Justine, who's absolutely hilarious.

That was awesome how Justine was tossed up and turned goblins to stone. Summoning the rat and the Giant Bee is great cuz it reminds me of the episode of Doctor Who with Agatha Christie and a Giant Alien Bee. I can't wait to see what that flask of vomit is capable of. One time I played a D&D game where my fellow characters and I were graduation from a school and got a gift of tiny arrows too small for a bow and too weak for a crossbow but apparently we found out later when I stabbed an evil wizard with it that they were in fact Acid Darts.

I'm waiting for the batshit crazy creative shit to happen my group once caried around polymorphed giant's (goldfish)just so they could throw it in a room kill it and have it expand and kill everything in the room, otherwise it's a novel concept the net can use more shows that are difirent.

You girls should let yourself go if you can make the DM doubt you've won.

And why not have it at the same time as Yahtzee it's the internets it'll be on here forever.

Ah vomit - it's the food that once was and could be again (if you're a dog or a really disgusting person)! For some reason I'm reminded of the time we were wandering around in a labyrinth and encountered some "droppings", which I'm sure the DM intended just to indicate that something unpleasant was living in the area. He probably wasn't expecting our cleric to announce that he was picking the turd up and putting it in his pack - I believe his reasoning was "You never know when having feces on hand will be useful!", which is the sort of logic I can really get behind because it's freaking hilarious.

Of course it turned out there never was any poop in his pack because we weren't even in a labyrinth and had been hallucinating the last two gaming sessions, so his cunning plan to pick everything up no matter how disgusting was thwarted, but I like to think he would have found some way to actually use it eventually.

I noticed that too, particularly early in the series. I guess they either tapered off or came around. Though it's nice to see more positive comments as the series matures.

Heh, were you around for Game Dogs? Great show, nothing but people going out of their way to say how much they hated it. I really hope Season 2 comes back, I loved the entire premise, and hope it wasn't ruined by a vocal minority...

Also, this show kicks ass (See? At least one positive comment!)! It reminds me of my games of D&D. Sadly, my games were all with butt-ugly guys, but the situations we got into are more or less the same :p I need to run a game where the potions are all marked "Vomit". My guess is it's mistranslated. Or it's a kind of laxative.

Also, are you guys gonna bring back any of the guest stars? Sasha was great, and Justine is just exceptionally entertaining.

I'm happy to see a bunch of friends, young men and women getting their geek on with one of the most fun gaming activities around.
What's better than a bunch of friends and snacks and drinks and monsters and dungeons?
No one bothering with being sexy, just having fun.
And kudos to your DM, he's doing a great job.

I don't see what all the bitching is about really, the first few episodes were kind of shaky but it got better and easier to follow pretty quick and it's pretty damn entertaining. The story they've been playing keeps getting progressively more interesting and I can't wait to see what happens next each week.

I've been interested in D&D since I played with a few friends in the 6th grade but we were made to stop because someone got pissy about kids playing that sort of thing at school. I've introduced a couple of friends to this series so maybe it will spark their interest and I can get something going.

I don't really see a problem with it being put next to ZP every week either. People are going to watch it or they're not, no one is here making each of us choose every week between Axe and ZP. I watch ZP first and while I'm watching Yahtzee do his thing I have Axe buffering in the background because it takes longer to load. I watch them both what does it matter in which order?

Actually that's Kimberly Kane (AKA KK). Sasha Grey was the Guest Star for the first set of episodes, Justine has taken her seat for this session/episode set.

But the show isn't about interior design or how to keep a clean house\apartment, it's about a group of people sitting around playing D&D. Concentrate on the game instead of how much of a mess you think the house is and maybe you'll find things more enjoyable.

He made the comment "...here in Italy nobody playes this game...". Mandy made the sarcastic remark/reply because he brought it up. Her comment wasn't petty, it was a snarky jab back in his direction.

Loosen up man. It's just a show. There are enough people that like it and/or the premise. The people that like to comment don't do so on these forums anymore because they don't enjoy rifling through hate comments. Rather, they head directly to the fan page.

Obviously this show isn't for you or those who are OCD about clean houses. People are different and people will live the way they want. Clean or messy. Studio or house. Something obviously set you off if you're missing the whole point of the show and looking at the apartment. Its about human interaction, tactics, breaking stereotypes and ... oh yea.. FUN.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. Seriously... you HATE IHWMA? Hate? Like it made out with your girlfriend behind your back, or tattled on you to your parents or stole your last piece of candy type of hate? Its just a show. No one is forcing you to watch anything. Its not like they created this situation. They heard about our game and asked us if they could document it. ... I'm not going to repeat myself or reference anymore. Read past comments on past episodes. They will answer your questions and address your concerns.

Hahaha, great episode! I loved the epic goblin battle when they reached the surface, and the great image of a giant bee and rat attacking a (probably quite confused) goblin.

There were random bits that were really cool too, like the little history lesson about the weapons the goblins had, and the conversation about the perils of carrying around a loaded crossbow during the credits, lol.

This is my new favorite show on the Escapist, keep up the great work you guys! Looking forward to next wednesday.

As a further note saying, most fans post on the fan site is not any justification for the low comment count. Take an example of a successful series, say LRR. Those guys racked up a total of 158 comments this week and they still maintain a healthy website and fan page to boot.

I think it says something about the show when it receives that much negative feedback.....

Honestly, I don't think I've ever played D&D in a clean, well-lighted place. Except one time in a library, and they tried giving it a go with one DM and fourteen players. Clean didn't hold up too well.

Blasphemy!

Those gigantic spectacles not only work for Frankie's style but act as protective gear... ya know, like Darth Vader's over sized helmet kept him alive and worked with his totally pimp ass cape to make him an evil overlord instead of the galaxy's shiniest pimp.

I guess what I am saying is that she's like the evil overlord of adorable...

Yeah, usually when I play there is the DM's daughter (who recently turned 2) grabbing and trying to do something with the figures and dice, and a cat also grabbing and trying to do something with those things. That's not mention the lighting or the other parts that are a mess.

I haven't seen the video yet due to some NoScript/Firefox issues, and I rarely comment on them, because most of my comments would be about the mushrooms or unusual battle tactics. But I have found myself enjoying them more and more.

I'm really enjoying this series, always have, but especially now we're seeing more of scheming and crafty combating.

Makes my kinda wish I'd grown up with D&D. I used to play the Games Workshop equivalent (Warhammer Quest), and that didn't the mechanics to do nearly as many player inspired stunts, not that would have made much of difference anyway, cause my friends and brother never showed much interest in WQ's limited role-playing elements that could have been introduced anyway, it was all just a dice rolling slashfest for them.

I'm just trying to understand....
So, you don't watch the show.
You are very angry that the show was created.
You HATE the show, but you don't watch it.

You like yelling at girls?
Seriously, Why so much hate? None of us girls have done anything hurtful or hateful to you.
Why are you acting like this?
Why would you make fun of my name?

What did any of us do to you?

Well it's going to blow your mind to know that Axe and LRR get roughly equivalent viewer-ship. Traffic and comments numbers do not correlate to each other very well and you'd do better to not try and draw broad comparisons from them.

He won't be able to answer that for a week. Uncalled for insults are not cool, so he's suspended for 7 days.

To those that are thinking about posting inappropriate comments, please don't. Proclaiming over-the-top accusations or insults are only reserved for contracted video series that review video games using an animated figure with an english-ish accented voice over. :p

Ok, did watching this make anyone else crave mac and cheese? Just me, then?

I really shouldn't watch Axe when I'm hungry. First the cookies, now the mac and cheese.

Meanwhile, the bit with summoning the rat - "he may have a disease" - just killed me.

Best D&D sessions (and drinking sessions and other) are in such places. Some people cannot appreciate a cozy lair ;p

Oh, and that's just feeding the trolls. Still it's nice that you spend time and reply to comments but that always attracts trolls;p

Anything that cute has to be evil
By that rule, most of this party is evil.
Well I'm pretty sure they're having way too much fun killing things and being sneaky to to be one hundred percent Good, I'd say they were all Chaotic Neutral at best

I think the show is great, keep it up! Used to love playing tabletop D+D all the way back in elementary school (old school nerdiness :) and even used it to keep my sanity when in the military. I especially love how you guys seem to be enjoying yourselves more as the show goes on. Can't wait to see what the goblin's have up there sleeves for next episode, and good work on the Medusa-chuck tactic :)

Crazy amount of hate spam this week, made me lol bout as much as the actual episode. Personally I think most peoples games of DnD if run well would make for a decent video or book etc, would just be 90% execution and IC players.

That being said I think a lot of the humour or entertainment of seeing people play dnd is the nostalgia of having played it yourself, hence people like eddy and whatever probably will never get it until they do play. Can't really blame em, I didn't know much of the game before I played it and was pretty sceptical when i first heard, it is very foreign to most games (dispite being a base template for a lot of other games).

I'm seriously beginning to like this show. :)
Every thursday I load ZP and this at the same time, and watch them in the order of which one loads faster.

But now I have a craving for Mac and Cheese.

Constructive criticism is fine, just like most things here.
The guys who got put on probation or suspension took it a little too far, is all.

Seconded.

So if I was critical of the show but openly confessed that the stars are attractive would your brain explode with that contradiction.
Alot of the critisism directed towards anyone critical of the series is starting to become predictable. It's actually starting to sound more like second rate pop-psychology.

Opening with the magic words "It's not for me" goes a long way towards defusing any notion that you're trying to tell the rest of us that we shouldn't be having a good time, or taking a jab at the folks who make this show for us. I think this show gets better every single week. I have really enjoyed it since Justine started playing, of course Sasha was great too, but Justine just brought so much interesting things into the series.
Loved the negotiations on who gets what beetle.
It is a fun show, and it is easy to see you all have a great time making it, which is probably the best thing about it.
Keep on making it, and keep on having fun, I will definitely be watching it.

Seconding the whole lot of what you said, just b a big quote to copy down.

But I do think some people are getting put on notice for stuff after not much, maybe the admins reading the second comment and putting the noice from the first but like not just in this series but also ZP (although i have a feeling there might have been some history to that) the notice seems to be a bit trigger happy. To quote Voltaire "I don't agree with what you say but I'll defend your right to say it to the death" (slight paraphrasing but u got the point, i don't speak french)

If you go to the DM's blog [http://dndwithpornstars.blogspot.com/2010/06/paying-off-enemy-keeping-your-crossbow.html] there is some discussion of the macuahuitl in the comments and a video of somebody chopping off a horse's head made of ballistic gel with it. Super cool. Sometimes as a DM I wish I could stop the action for a little video segment so that everyone's imagination of the combat could match the way the weapons look in my head.

The mushrooms came out of this entire mushroom-based dungeon level [http://www.megadungeon.net/the-dungeon-level-2b-fungus/], I read it after I saw it in the credits and it was pretty cool.

I think riding beetles is a massive upgrade over riding horses, and liked how Connie's character remembered she was small and doubled up.

That last sentence took me forever to write because I couldn't remember whose player was whose, or who sat where at the table. Do you think for new people coming into the series it would help to make a little gallery with headshots, names, and character names, and use this post from Mandy [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/6.192908-I-Hit-It-With-My-Axe-Episode-Eight-Dont-Tell-Us-Right-Now?page=4#6128117] to explain everything? I missed that post because I started watching too late, and I think it would help people catch right up.

I have a friend that looks an awful lot like Mandy Morbid (who'd Id never heard of until watching IHIWMA, or any of the others in it). Told her to check out the series. She now apparently wants to play D&D.

Justine has quite possibly the greatest jaw on the planet.

on topic: I like this show but i don't quite know why, i don't play nor have i ever played dungeons and dragons but i looks like great fun, since this show started i also started reading www.darthsanddroids.net It is the new Star Wars movies told in a Dungeons and Dragons way. I also don't know any of the people and that is fine, people freaking out about their profession are odd. To me they could all be hairdressers or strippers or pornstars.

Don't forget the rat miniature was a bit of chocolate. Chocolate with the possibility of carrying a disease. Next day you'd be rolling fortitude saves. Is chocolate really worth the chance of ability damage?

Anyway, enjoyed the show. I swear, one of my upcoming dnd sessions will have my players encounter some bug riders. Preferably wizards on giant stag beetles.

Satine (and all the cast members over the series), I love that you take the time to reply and that you're passionate about what you guys are doing (which is awesome,) but one of the earliest things I learned in life is that people say shit to get a reaction and a response. While it pains me to urge you to not respond it will hopefully save you the hopeless sense of frustration trying to reason with ****wits. Unique, interesting and fun, keep up the good work guys...

But in saying that it's still interesting to read! haha...

To Mandy and Satine, I enjoy the show, for what it's worth. It reminds me of my old D&D days years and years ago. Some people won't like it because of the premise or the content, but who cares? You guys seem to enjoy playing it and there are some of us on here who enjoy watching, so keep on truckin'! :)

Also, I laughed pretty hard at KK's intense expressions this week during battle. She takes her goblin-slaying seriously.

I've been reading a lot of the negative comments and I just wanted to pop out of lurkerdom to give my own thoughts on the show.

At first I just watched it to see whether the girls were actually playing for fun or whether they'd been blackmailed into it, and I was glad (and mildly surprised) to see they were all having quite a bit of fun, even Sasha. It may not have been her cup of tea, but she was pretty up for it and had her moments of newb win. This would have been a major disappointment if nobody had some genuine excitement for dice slinging. Really enjoy all the players at the table. Sadness, I don't think I've seen Mandy laughing as much as the others recently, she seems to have buckled down to being the party support tool and explainer of things (my read). Kim, Satine, and Frankie are freaking awesome, they all enjoy the game a lot and really show that. Loved the, "Die ******," from Kim in this episode, and that one episode with the mushrooms was great all around. Don't seem to see Connie as much as the others it seems, guess she's the quieter one? And Justine is a freaking awesome newbie, hope she sticks around for a while if not becoming a full fledged or recurring member.

Overall Review of the Show: It's actually pretty good and shows signs of picking up tricks to make it better (there's a better word than tricks but I can't think of it. Device that shows the table, game, player's, and mechanics from a lot of different angles??). Anyway, this new episode did some cool things with panning to character sheets, the dungeon map, and such that helped to set the scene. Really liked that, especially the squiggly character sheets with random notes and such on them. Wouldn't mind maybe seeing an episode where the group rated the DM and the last adventure, talked about what they wanted to do next, or see happen, that kinda thing. Early on there seemed to be an idea of having a real world, private time moment with two of the girls on a bed opening up outside of DM earshot or something. It kinda bored me, ymmv. Either which way, it's gone now (at least for the moment) so, props.

As far as goes the house/apartment, I like seeing people in the natural space where they're comfortable at. My apartment has gone the gamut from "museum quality" (real pretty but don't touch ANYTHING) to a grungy pit that eats your shoes if you go in the bathroom. Throwaway Idea: have you guys considered grabbing a chessex map or some such, the leatherette maps with squares or hexes for showing positioning and inking out the battle map? Works great with minis, reaper or otherwise.

And lastly, all the girls are snugglies, let no one say otherwise. And if in some unfortunate twist of circumstances their current bf should meet a tragic and mysterious end, I promise there will always be a fan in the wings to offer cuddly support (depending on current rates on air fare)

Yah, she's making Zak's job a lot easier. And enabling the other players instead of standing out -- like for example, when she opened up the choice of which spell she should cast to the group instead of picking it herself.

We tended to see enthusiasm waver a bit in clerics when half of our attack plans had the tank hitting this guy, the thief sneaking around here and stabbing that guy, the wizard lighting these people on fire, and the cleric holding the door open.

The idea of the show is good i dont know why this show seems a bit bland to me...

Mayby it's because i dont find the characters fitting for this kind of show... Donno i guess some things just dont work.

Still my personal opinion and it's not like i hate the show. It just does not hit my perticular taste.

Good luck in the future!

Was this 2nd edition? Man, in 3rd and 3.5, my Clerics and Druids weren't allowing the spotlight to waver one bit! They were the most monstrously powerful classes to play. Wanna play a Necromancer? PLay a cleric. Wanna play a warrior? PLay a cleric. Like being a primary spellcaster that has swallow (whole) as a backup option? PLay a druid. 4th edition has kinda made me shy away from them, but there's a slew of other options.

I can't believe it either -- mostly because of all the haters! I just tried looking back at some of the earlier comment threads after I found that post from Mandy with Google, and it's enough to make anybody quit reading. And thirteen episodes later the first few posts are still people complaining, though the signal-to-noise ratio is at least existent now. That just doesn't seem normal. It must be something with the Escapist audience.

I don't suppose these forums have an upvote mechanism so you wouldn't miss posts from the VIPs in long threads? Or a downvote so you wouldn't have to read all the complaining?

Oh, regarding the original person comparing # of comments: Why don't you compare this show to Zero Punctuation when it first started?

# of comments (first ten episodes):
Zero: 91, 129, 315, 187, 111, 95,, 81, 536,, 42, 192
Axe: 474, 294, 139, 109, 119, 83, 155, 149, 108, 89

And of course ZP can boost his numbers by doing a show on Halo 3 (that's where the 536 comments come from).

Contacts can be uncomfortable for a number of reasons. Could be the air in the apartment is dry. Glasses are often more comfortable for reading, like her character sheet, particularly if the lighting is poor.

My group regularly plays at an office building. We use a meeting room so it's clean every time we go there, haha. Though we don't have 14 players either. That would be crrraaazy! You'd need someone to co-DM that, I imagine.

In general, assume that we are doing things for the same reason anyone NOT being filmed might do them.

There was no conscious planning of the wearing of glasses to appeal to some "girls in glasses are sexy" nonsense. We have Frankie to represent that very very well for us just by being her own cute self.

Could be your contacts get scratchy when you have them in for 24 hours in a row because you've been up all night having an orgy in between back-to-back D&D sessions.

It may not have actually happened that way, but I'm pretty sure I can get someone to write a fanfic of it.

Could be your contacts get scratchy when you have them in for 24 hours in a row because you've been up all night having an orgy in between back-to-back D&D sessions.

It may not have actually happened that way, but I'm pretty sure I can get someone to write a fanfic of it.

Oh God, do you think people will start writing IHIWMA fanfic?

Not that I wouldn't read it...

Nonetheless, I consistently enjoy this show. I'm not much of a commenter, but always feel compelled to add my support.

Finally: I want fan t-shirts. Lots of them.

Seconded. I'm pretty much on board with this because of Frankie. She's the sort of nerd-hawt my gaming group could stand a little of.

Hate! Hate! Hate! Hate! Hate! Haha, what's with people? Lighten up.

Anyways, my liking for the show is continually going up (so much for Archon's statistics, sorry). Maybe it's because I have never played it myself and they react how I probably would react. I also wouldn't have the patience to sit down and play, so it's much more fun for me to watch.

in terms of popular media do You know what i hate... More then anything. ANYTHING.

Nickelback. now i am proveing a point so i won't get into it but(seriously, i could go on and on) And i know there are others like me who hate nickelback

Here is my challange.

search the entire internet. And find one instance where i go to a nickelback thread and start bashing them. Now unless the thread it about bashing them you won't find me... Cause no MATTER HOW MUCH I bash. NICKELBACK IS NOT GOING AWAY.

So here we have this thing evidently alot of people like(cause the escapist keeps it around).

yet people come here episode after episode. Now here we have a double WTF. If you comment on a video before watching it. Your going straight to internet hell. WTF. And if you watched it all the way through then commented on how much you hated it. WTF

So either say somthing nice like "i really liked this episode",
or offer some critism thats relevant.(WTF does cleaning a house have to with anything.)

OR DON'T WATCH THE VIDEOS AND DON'T COMMENT.

THis is the best part. Now i imagine that the escapist knows how many people in total watched an episode of Whatever. So if it's High. They are going to keep it around. Now if it's Really LOW. the escapist would have furthur reason to drop it. So by watching a video that you hate. You have given the escapist one more reason to keep it around.

I don't know, playing D&D is fun, but to me, just watching people play takes all the fun out of it. Also, the show hops skips and jumps from bit to bit, so it's a little hard to follow.

I just noticed the first edition monster manual on the table in the opening of this video. Is it considered unlucky to touch that, or anything?

Watch Video

Heres an idea why don't you throw in like a jurrassic park/lost world land of the last style would be really good to see.

We had one it was more of a side mission got stuck on a dino island had to escape by getting to the other side (with reteving an essental artifact to stop an apocolipse dragon army).

Just a few t-rexs are always fun specailly to see the players faces drop and rapters alone.

Well, see, that's the other problem. I don't think I could convince my friends to play let alone create a whole world as the dungeon master. Maybe one day...

@Low Key: I dunno, it's pretty easy to create your own world. If you have any background in sci-fi / fantasy & horror, be it books, films, or video games, your going to have picked up some things that you liked and can spin into the story. A whole wide world breathing and teeming with life, every creature, character, and object named ... is completely unnecessary. The worlds barely a backdrop to the story you want to show. For a first time beginner, it might be best to be really narrow, with a single village / province cut off from the rest of the world and the point being to escape that. In all honesty, my biggest problem has never been creating the world or the story, it's just a ***** to find good fantasy sounding names that work for me.

if your friends really don't want to play, but you do... play with somebody else! :O a shocker, i know, but it works.

as for creating a world... what felix said. or use any one of the bazillion worlds already out there.

you are running out of excuses there, lowkey. :p

Everybody's enthusiasm is remarkable, but keep in mind Low Key may be thinking his group would not be as much fun as watching Connie, Frankie, etc.

Is there any way I can reverse-report that for sheer awesome? If IHIWMA were Burn Notice, that'd be Frankie's subtitle!

I watched the first 5 episodes of this show, had NO IDEA what was going on, and shut it off.

I listen to the official DnD podcasts, the Penny arcade ones are amazing.

Change the way you edit, you cut too much, you're ruining the storytelling.

I never had trouble following what's happening on the show, but if you did, you should try watching the more recent episodes. Nobody complains on the forums about them being "hard to follow" anymore.

Also, the first 5 are the least good.

Those seem slow-paced to me. Do you play D&D, or just watch it for entertainment? Maybe I don't need as much context because I know the rules inside and out. I actually prefer not knowing everything about what's going on -- when they say stuff like "Justine has to take her mask off, and we'll all get behind her," I didn't know about her character's powers, but that just made it more interesting to me -- it was like revealing her powers by showing, not telling. The more I have to fill in, the better I like it -- sometimes I read only the last panel of the newspaper comics because the jokes are funnier when you have to figure out how that makes sense.

On a slightly random side tangent: if anyone in the party were to go evil and betray the party, whether for good, evil or just plain stupid, who do you think it would be?

Reason for Question: There's just this random image I have of Justine' (character's) severed head, dripping blood and wreathed with serpents, held up by Mandy in a, back Demon, kind of look. Personally has a very sword and sorcery image in my head (please don't hate me; let's not forget Monica Belluci's gone the same way thanks to Anthony Hopkins in 91's 'Dracula.')

I was on the DnD website and picked up a stat bar on a full fledged Medusa ala' "Clash of the Titans," from a bestiary by Bruce Cordell. Listed as a "Medusa Abomination, level 17 Solo Controller". Helluva lot more badass than the standard one.

More Cthulu planned for the not so distant future, but these last two were awesome as always!

Keep fighting the good fight and slay those goblins (and trolls.)

A big fan BastyNastard!

And as a side note getting a good gaming group together is hard work and getting days everyone can do is even harder plenty of respect to you girls and guys for achieving that let alone then posting the results on the web and putting up with the naysayers.

Awww.... I started watching IHIWMA last night and am up to the latest episode and I do not like the fact that at the bottom right there is no-
Next Episode: Episode 14: "Episode Name">> :(

Being a person that has never played D&D or ever seen anybody play D&D irl, I judged this show as a person coming to a brand new show, not knowing what to expect. As you can see, I zoomed right through all the episodes and I had a blast.

Great show, and for those that hate it etc, please, shut the fuck up and man up (dont ***** about it, just dont watch it).

On my toes for the next episode.

-On an unrelated note, I do watch a crap load of shows
(listing current shows i am watching, not expecting anybody to care or even read my comment):
The Office (awaiting new season), Bones(awaiting new season), Burn Notice(awaiting new season), Dexter(awaiting new season), Skins(Awaiting new season), Big Bang Theory(awaiting next ep), Chuck(awaiting next ep), Entourage(zooming through it).

Not that I'm complaining, as a friend once pointed out glasses = smart = sexy, but I am morbidly curious as to if there is a reason for the change.
I actually prefer wearing my contacts but I can only wear them for so many hours in a day. I'm highly allergic to garlic & onions and if i've eaten them on accident my eyes are so irritated that I can only wear contacts for a few hours. Since we film for 8 hours at a time I have to switch off. I'm almost blind without my glasses ( 20/600 nearsighted = can only see 10 inches in front of my face... aware of the silly thoughts that might instigate ). I'm glad you think they are sexy, but I feel less sexy in them because I have no peripheral vision :)

Thanks for the review!!!! And thanks for speaking up!

I'm going to admit that I have no idea of why it's that hilarious (no hates). Mussolini being the fascist, spaghetti being silly and funny, I get. Ah well.

The Edited Part: Also I notice this was posted at 1:15 am PST so I'm willing to bet you were waiting for someone to finally notice how clever that was. (money in hand, waiting to see if my horse wins)

Ugh, tell me about it; Cleric & Druid were easily the most powerful classes. Though I have to say, when all is said & done, I think Warlock & Scout were the two MOST FUN classes.

I for one am far too lazy to read through pages and pages of comments to actually contribute to the whole "discussion" of what most thread boards I linger through have to say. But I will state here that I quite enjoy this show for it's brash audience appeal and the fact that it is the only "reality" show on the Internet that I've actually been able to sit through. And no it's not because of the breasts, it's actually that I quite enjoy the quirks of many D&D campaign stories. Even though I've only really started playing D&D this last month or so (and that was really to appeal to my sisters interests and her moving away), before, one of my favourite past-times or discussions with friends was listening to their adventures in a sub-cultured world of imagination and fantasy that predated the invention of video games. I found Pen and Paper tales very, very interesting.

Though with this, I find I have to pause this show, cause, I really disdain reality TV shows for the fact that I'm just wasting time with someone elses life; when I could be involved in mine. But, I like the quirkiness of this down to earth atmosphere that this show brings to the escapist. Take into account that everything else on here is either satire, blunt, comedy, or parodied. However this show breaks that mold. And for that, I like it.

I think those haters of this show really need to look at what shows on here are their favourite, and ask if there really is any variety to them that jumps more than 2 distinctions that separate them other than titles.

Also take into that this site is a magazine for gaming, and the Pen and Paper world is much different to the Video game world, and maybe some hardcore gamers should just understand that it's like seeing a different culture. Of course it's different, and maybe it's boring to you, but to others who may be not buying into the "hype" of witty satire and written story week in and out that it becomes mundane, that it is nice to have some fresh life on this site.

And that is my rant. Thank you and good day.
