Well The title says it all. I prefer fighting and alot of political stuff going on in it, One of the main reasons why I was so easily hooked to Gundam seed and Destiny. But the only ones that I have watched besides that is Gundam wing. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them (Hey even recommend some other gundams if ya want.)

If you liked Gundam, watch Gurren Lagann.

Oh, Elfen Lied is good.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Umineko no Naku Koro ni

They're all good.

Bokurano is a pretty good giant-robot anime, certainly my favorite giant-robot anime. You also might want to check out Rurouni Kenshin, you know, cause it's awesome.

I recommend both Rebuild of Evangelion movies for starters, though there will be four total. It has all the core of mecha anime with a storyline that really makes you think. Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance is also the greatest film of all time.

Code Geass has a lot of fighting and political things going on but you've most likely seen that already.

Finally I recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It is manliness in anime form. You'll just be blown away by the sheer amount of awesome Gainax was able to pack into a 27 episode series.

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!?

I'd recommend Gungrave: decent action scenes, but one hell of an awesome mob drama.

Alright, let's do this;
Hellsing OVA 1-4

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (but not Umineko, I was completely confused and pissed off with that series by about the middle of the season)

Ghost in the Shell; Stand Alone Complex and the 2nd Gig (start with Stand Alone Complex) a great semi-violent, sci-fi, political anime

Full Metal Panic!

. . . . and that's all for now.

Well, if you can take just fighting with some comedy rolled in, Hajime nNo Ippo would be grand for you. I've watched the entire thing at least 3 times now and it never gets old.

Oh, and it's about boxing.

PlanetES and Mushishi are both regarded as some of the best. Also, here is a sample of ones which come recommended. As for fighting and political Fullmetal Panic is good, So is Monster. Blue gender is an interesting one too. Oh, and Big O.

You're a fan of giant robots, eh? That's not really my thing, so all I can think of is Samurai 7. I highly recommend it.

A fan of mechs, eh?

Bokurano
Heroman
Eureka 7
Neon Evangelion ( Never seen it)
Code Geass
Fooly Cooly
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ( Sucks the first few episodes, but it gets really good, to the point where its an instant classic)
Now and then, Here and there ( Not a mecha anime, but there are a few in there. And the setting is apocalyptic and deserted.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is pretty damn good. However it gets weird, very weird by the episode 16.

There's always the new Dragon ball Z kai, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Negima Ala Alba, durpy durpy doo. As people have already mentioned theres Code Geass and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (if I spelled that right). I've heard that this one anime called Berserk was good, but I never watched it myself so I can't exactly recomend it, but whatever. Check out Gintama, it's pretty funny, but a lot of the references are hard to get if you live outside Japan. And although this is outside your preferences, I'll also recomend Sasameki Koto for the heck of it. And for quick reference, a list (perhaps I should just done that...)

Dragon Ball Z Kai
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Negima Ala Alba
Code Geass
Umineko No Naku Koro Ni
Berserk
Gintama
Sasameki Koto

EDIT: (whoops, almost forgot about Black Lagoon, watch that one too!)
