Sure there wasn't any misunderstanding there? Or is he one of those people who think anything mentioning colour is automatically racist? Becaus I really don't like it when people do that.

In the context of this situationn, people can't help who they're attracted to and if he really suspected some undercurrent of racism in that comment, he should at least have dug a little deeper before immediately insinuating that. So I wouldn't worry about it.

The weird thing is he didn't seem to care about the fact that I was into women, that's how the conversation started actually.
I'm guessing his girlfriend is dark skinned and you've crushed his hopes of a threesome.

Well crap, I like pale-skinned girls, too.

Guess, I'll just have to stop...

I happen to see alot of this right here on these forums. As an example, what if someone were to say he is a call of duty fan, eh? You bet people would be telling him he's wrong.

I am a console gamer, and every once in a while I'm told I should switch to PC because of the mouse being more accurate or simply because console games usually don't have complicated plots and therefore I am making the whole industry worse by playing them. Well, the computer I'm currently gaming on is a laptop, so unless someone is willing to send me enough money to either buy a good gaming PC or the parts to make one, I'll stick with my console.

People tell me I should be liking art games (Passage, every day the same dream) because liking action games makes me dumb or something. Well fine, I'm stupid. Why should I like something that does nothing for me to like it? Statements, messages, and themes don't mean a thing to me if I'm not interested or engaged or having fun. If that makes me stupid, then fine, call me retard mcspackypants, but I'd rather be stupid and having fun than bored out of my huge, genius mind, and I know of a certain game critic who would back me up on that.
You shouldn't think that!

I agree, this seems to happen a lot on here. Annoys the hell out of me. I hate it how people seem to make judgements about my character over what I like; for example, when Moviebob rags on fans of old-school action films. Apparently I'm not allowed to enjoy mindless action, because it's not clever.

"I like Newer Generations better than Older Generations of Pokemon. 2nd and 4th are the best"

I cannot tell you how many times I have been "corrected" by other people who say I shouldn't be liking the newer generations of pokemon.

It sort of depends on how he told you, his tone and implied meaning. If he meant you shouldn't because he thinks he is right and you and wrong, then he is just a dick. It might help if you knew why he said it.
