I've started not sleeping for three or four nights in a row without any real problems, then crashing out for the three days after that, sleeping for like 12 hours a night...

im at uni with only a few lessons, so it hasn't real affected me too seriously yet, but f*ck is this normal??

It's not really healthy. You should ideally try and get 6-8 hours per night.

Nope not normal if your having trouble sleeping you should try to get that checked out. OR stop playing games for 30 hours straight without stop just cause you got to see whats next. :p

It wrecks havoc on your bodily functions as they have no regularity to go off. Expect constipation and diarrhea at various points, headaches too.

yeah, i'd go see a doctor. that doesn't sound healthy. it sounds like some sort of phsycological problem to be honest. go ask a doctor, not people on the internet.

Well since everyone beat me to it, yes that is very unhealthy, also your brain can't function as well with the lack of sleep

I kinda know what you mean. I sometimes go one or two days without sleeping, but four? Holy cow, man! You might need to go get some pills or something. But what do I know? I'm not a doctor. This might be perfectly fine for you. If you are alright with this sleeping pattern, then keep at it, but if you aren't then go get some help.

..Sounds like my sleep pattern =P

You tried exercising a lot on the days you're not sleeping? Might tire you out. Or at least attempting to sleep. Even if you just lie there, at least it's some sorta rest. :/

Dunno what else to suggest, has anything changed lately that might've caused this change?

No, not even for me, and I'm an insomniac. You might wish to see a doctor, if you're able to.

If you're young, you'll get over it.

When I was younger, I would do the same thing. But now that I'm and ancient (30), I pray for sleep time.

Sounds like my holiday party schedule... Likely to lead you to an early grave, Great if you like the taste of caf-power of that feeling where your so sleep deprived the world feels like it is made of ice and you feel like you are made of fire
(I am a bit sleep deprived now)

I would suggest trying to get some therapy. Nah but as long as your not feeling out of energy or anything afterwards, you should be alright.

Most nights the closest I get to sleep is laying down and zoning out for about 4 hours... Try to keep to a more regular schedule and be more active during the day.
