I think I'm done with military shooters for a while. Suggestions?

I just finished the BF3 campaign and I must say, it was fucking awful. I finished MW3 last week (I know I'm late, blame being a uni student) and it was fucking awful.

So basically, the two games I was looking forward to most this year, MW3 and BF3 (obviously), were complete letdowns in almost every way to me. I'm about ready to swear them off. And those are my favorite kinds of games!

So, fellow gamers, what are some good games to waste my winter break with that are not Skyrim?

If you want shooters; Metro 2033 if you havent played it yet.

This, a thousand times this. You will get suffocated by the games atmosphere.... and possibly the toxic atmosphere if you don't put your gas mask on.

The Jak Series on the PS2. Ignore the PS3 Jak like the plague.

Crysis 2, not a Military shooter? I know you get the suit and all, but I'm pretty sure you play as a Delta Force or SEAL guy. It plays a hell of a lot like Call of Duty, except with Aliens, and the Multiplayer is call of duty, just with invisibility which makes camping snipers even more annoying.

I know it's not a pure military shooter, but it is one. You get escorted around by military dudes, you get flown around in military helicopter things, and you get bossed around by a CIA chick. It's a military shooter, just with aliens..... and the aliens basically are humans, they walk on two legs and everything.

I described Crysis 2 to my friend as a mash up of Call of Duty and Halo which I think is a pretty accurate statement. I thought it was okay- it was definately better than most of its contemporaries. Especially toward the end when the shit hits the fan. Lol. Those were some of the most intense firefights I've ever seen in a game.

The Souls Franchise (Dark Souls and Demon's souls)
The Killzone games

I need to get a play station.
