I knew my grandpa died the night it happened because I dreamed of my grandma grieving. I knew my mom had died because I dreamt of the screams as my stepdad dragged her out of the car and shot her. So yeah I believe it's possible. And as a Christian, I will tell you posession is when your body no longer belongs to you. You would know if you were possessed because your body would respond to something other than your mind.
"...and your old men shall profesy"
some verse from the Pentecost in Acts. You could simply just be talented.

Given that many dreams are in part connected to something that your mind has been concentrating on, and that a day is filled with thousands of events, it's not surprising that small, mundane things that happen to you can sometimes match up with dreams. And when they don't match up, they come close enough that you can pretend that they do.

I also expect that you only remember the days where this does happen, and completely forget when it doesn't happen. And it probably doesn't happen plenty of times.

Also, precognition is basically a load of bullocks, as long as you're not making basic predictions of physical events like "if I jump up, I will come back down," or generic cause-and-effect predictions like "if I drink this 2-liter bottle of soda, I will have to pee later." The sad truth is that any "psychics" out there are either con artists or self-deluded.

If you prove it, you can win one million dollars. [http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html] You'd be the 175th to apply!
The FAQ from the JREF site said:
1.3 How many people have applied for the Challenge?

Between 1964 and 1982, Randi declared that over 650 people had applied. Between 1997 and February 15, 2005, there had been a total of 360 official, notarized applications. Applications continue to pour in!
Are you saying he'd be the 175th to apply about seeing the future?

OT: I really just came in here to mention Randi, but several people already beat me to it. I think you should start a dream journal. See how many of your dreams come true. Take note of how much comes true, and how closely reality mirrors your dream. Be aware of confirmation bias -- casual observers tend to remember the hits and forget the misses. That's why it's important to have very accurate journals.

Also, judging by your description, I'd say that you're just imaging mundane things that probably happen every day. You just don't really notice them usually because you didn't dream them the previous night. I do not think you are psychic. But I guess it's a possibility.

I just like to say, wherever I can, that it really isn't all that strange.
Breaking the known laws of Psychics isn't strange?
I wasn't talking about precognition specifically, I was just saying that there are probably things humans can do that modern science (in which I am a firm believer) is not yet able to explain.

Let's just say that those who believe, believe and those who don't, just don't

To make a study of this, actually write out each morning what the screen-shot is and see if it matches up. I think it is most likely a hindsight altered deja vu thing though. But hey keep us posted on the screen-shot study.

Nopony can see to the future, other than with information from already known facts that help predict something that is likely to occur.

Coincidences. Yes.
who is nopony? never heard of him, he must'nt be any good
Out of laziness this is to ben.
So you have evidence that precognition is impossible, and has never happened? Or is this simply what you believe without question? How can I dream of my mom being murdered the night she was murdered? Coincidence? I was in California and she was in AZ, and I woke up in shock at the hour neighbors reported they heard the gunshot. Coincidence? Well it's a pretty f**ing specific coincidence. But you're probably going to say I made it up.

I believe in some 'paranormal' things like psychic abilities. I also believe in science, I just believe that science is not yet able to explain some things (and I have seen some things to make me believe in some of what people call supernatural).
I'm interested in what these things could possibly be.

You're not psychic if you think you should do something and then do it. I have dreams of what I will have for breakfast, and when I wake up I usually make that. It's not Deja vu, it's just a good idea that you had and are choosing to act upon. When you see something out of your control and it happens then you may be psychic.

However I do believe I am empathic. Well that or I am one of the last remaining people who can read body language. But the first one sounds cooler even if the second one is probably right.

If you want a very unscientific test, you got one.
On a friday, tell a friend to take you someplace very unique and recognizable on the following saturday, but not tell you where. Then, if that night you have a dream about, say, the beach, and your friend takes you to the beach, then you have a little bit of evidence to you psychic powers.

You are not a psychic. My aunt claimed to have the same ability, and "knew" that someone was going to die because of a dream she had. Six months later, some extremely distant relative that we only met once dies and she would say "see, I told you someone would die" or she "knew" that something good would happen and a year later, someone she knows has a baby. People believe what they want to believe.

Eh why not? A medium had enabled me to have a nice chat with my mom, so i guess anything is possible.

although she could have been really good at reading people.

if you think your pyshic then like others said, a dream jornal is good, but if you dream of having a hot dog for dinner and end up having one two days later, don't think that gives you proof

It's possible that you're inserting what's presntly happening into memoies of your dreams.

On the other hand maybe you are psychic. If so, have fun.

Your mind could be able to predict events and plans that will occur. I'd look at more of the details about this if I were you.

Also, how does being possessed let you see the future? I've never hear that one before.

Ok let me tell you that your not alone... If what you say is true, then YES you could call it a form of "psychic" ability..

My mum used to see plane crashes and train crashes, up to a week before they happened. At first I didnt believe her, but one morning she said "I had another nightmare of two trains colliding together. I have a bad feeling it will happen within the next two days..." I ignored it, passing it off as she'd been drinking. Next day, on the news, two trains had indeed collided together. I actually burst into tears from shock.
Ontop of that, she'd scared the hell out of her old boyfriend after predicting the Lockerbie plane crash in 1988 several days before it happened....
My nana told me that its happened to her when she was young also... and I have had my moments of "deja vu" when I know ive seen something before in a dream and am currently doing/looking at the same thing. Again so has my partner....

I get very edgy when i "sense" something is going to happen. My stomach gets butterflies and I feel very insecure. The other week, we were walking back from college (please believe me coz this is a TRUE story), when I felt odd. Everything looked stranger then usual but I didnt know why. We passed a group of girls who were discussing (amusingly) about how people "see" things before they happen, or sense things are going to happen.... We continued until the road and as we were waiting for the lights, I turned to face the opposite direction to the cars. To this day I dont know what made me look in that direction considering I should have been watching when the cars stopped... Anyway, I was about to look away when a bus started to cross my vision from my right. Next thing I know, I see a girl suddenly step out and SMASHED straight into the bus.... As you can imagine I was pretty shaken up for the rest of the day. No, I dont know what happened to her, last id seen before we left the scene was she looked dazed but concious with no obvious signs of injury.

Weirdly the body has a subconscious and strange way of telling us about things. After all, we're all made up of atoms, why shouldnt those atoms "see" what the other atoms are up to.

I once had a dream that I fell off a skyscraper and was plummeting to earth and right before I hit the ground I woke up and hit the floor. I guess I had the sensation of falling after I fell off my bunk bed (top).
