Whereabouts do you live? The last time I saw Mountain Dew was in Southampton, a few crates of it stacked on the shelf of an offie.
Woot, Sarfampton. I think i know where you're thinking of, and they do a load of US imports (like Mountain Dew, but also things like Lucky Charms, Nerdz etc) so i don't think that really counts - they put a massive markup on it, a box of Lucky Charms'll set you back about 13 quid if i remember rightly.
That sounds more like one of those speciality imported sweet shops. Is there one in Southampton now? Whereabouts?

The place I saw them was an off-licence in Bedford Place, it might have been Champagne Charley's, but then again it might not.
There's an offy on the main road in Totton with an adjacent sweet shop owned by the same peeps. I can't remember what it's called, but its definately got the 'Dew ;)
Totton? TOTTON?! That isn't a real place!

I live in Winchester these days anyway, and rarely even make it to Southampton proper. I don't have the time for tramping around the extremities ;-)
SNOB! :p Perhaps learning to rough it again with us peasants living outside Winchester might be a valuable life affirming exercise lol
If you think you're roughing it, you've clearly never lived in Winchester and earned minimum wage :p

Everything here is so expensive; food, rent, council tax, everything. Even the pubs are pricier. I'd have a much more comfortable life back in Southampton, but unfortunately that aint where the job is, and paying a fiver a day for train fire would destroy my paycheck...

We could so do a trade. We could trade Yorkshire Puddings to America in exchange for Twinkies!

If I ate chocolate as much as I used to(quit a while back) I'd long for Cadbury's Top deck or something that isn't sold in England but is in South Africa ¬_¬

I really only wish the U.S. had socialized healthcare.

Other than that, I can deal with my country of birth.

I once bought a box of lucky charms for £8 (Dunno what that is in dollars - maybe about 11-12 dollars?) - I wish they were cheap and common here :(

I also wish we had America's law system, because most of the people that walk free in this country would have had their asses judicially handed to them.

I wish Sweden would have Starbucks and White Castle restaurants. Twinkies has also for a long time been a childish dream for me, I so wish to taste them.

Trains, proper commuter ones to ride to work and home on. I hate sitting in traffic, much preferred time on trains with music and books.

America seem to have more flavours of everything, so I guess that'd be mine.

you guys get like a dozen different Dr peppers, we get the basic ones (normal and zero)

While born and raised for the most part in America, I did get to live in London for a couple of years, and every time I go back I have to stock up on Bounty bars. They only last me about a week though...

Those awesome wedges you Americans get at KFC (Ireland here). The ones here are pathetic soggy chips and you guys get spicy wedges with your delicious chicken. Also, I would like some really biased news network over here, like Fox, just so we could rip on it constantly.
