Yeah I have heard of the game Chicken. Usually it involves two cars going head on until one "chickens out"....wow a really stupid game. Then there is the kissing version, much safer. It isn't really a interesting game for me because kissing people isn't a big deal to me so as long as they look clean and I don't find them horrible.

As a pansexual I don't find kissing any sex icky. I clicked the link and it says the kissing game is the easy game, were as the more hardcore one is grabbing breasts and balls? That seems silly.

In my home town we just called your chicken game, spin the bottle and there was no chickening out if you wanted to play and you only ever played in the hopes that you could kiss someone you liked. I never played.

I am not actually sure what you are asking in your question, like if two straight guys or girls played chicken and they ended up kissing does that mean they aren't 100% gay? I think it would just mean they are open minded in some cases and in other cases, who gives a fuck? I can't really say though, most straight guys I have known are homophobic pricks.

I used to know a couple of girls who played chicken...with trains. On train tracks.

Girls are so weird!
Wait, so, like, real trains? How did these girls get trains? :O
He/she means that someone would stand on the tracks while the train comes, and before it hits you, you have to jump out of the way. The idea is to stay on the track as long as you can, or atleast longer then anyone else is able to stay on without "chickening" out first.

I played it once myself. One kid does it in the movie "Stand by me".

I've played it. And I consider myself straight. So maybe. Did lose though. I was a bit of an idiot playing against someone who's Bisexual. I'm not the smartist person. :p

What is a gay chicken?

Pretty much this, however some take it more extreme (not going into any detail but you get the picture), but usually it's just kissing, first to back out, loses.

They were asking if you got a gay guy and a lesbian to do it, would it work? The purpose of the game is to make the other uncomfortable.

Seeing as they do not find the opposite sex attractive, then they logically would feel just as uncomfortable as a heterosexual who does it with a person of the same gender.

Personally my opinion would come under "who cares" to be honest. I feel that way too much importance is placed upon sexuality and gender in general, so I don't tend to really care about it.

I'm going to go with no on this one, unless the participants are a gay man and a lesbian woman.

The idea of a straight man and woman playing chicken just sounds like a way to get her playfully into the sack.

A gay guy and a gay girl can't play "Straight Chicken", because everyone always assumes that people are straight, therefore they won't have the paranoia of strangers criticizing them. By "can't play", I don't mean "shouldn't play". I just mean, it loses the impact somewhat.

I once played "Gay Chicken" with my friend years ago, but I "chickened out" when he kept caressing my thigh and it was ticklish. But nowadays, I've done that, and a little more, to my friends, like saying some of the most homoerotic shit ever, or shoving their head into my crotch and telling them to "choke on it like a *****". Yeah, my group of friends and I are pretty weird.
...I envy your friends. I asked my friend to do this when I was in the closet and it was a resounding no. Very resounding, actually. You could hear it for blocks.
I guess we just have different groups of friends. Or maybe they actually knew that you were gay.

OT: Some people (quote) on this thread have said it wouldn't work since straight people don't have the stigma that gay people do, but...

I'm gay and if I had to kiss a girl in a sensual way, I would surely die. Nevermind anything more than that. So, I assure you, it would work. At least, for me.
I think it wouldn't work as well because heterosexuality is always perceived as the societal norm, so while it might be awkward for a gay guy to kiss a girl, people around them, or just strangers that don't know them in person, wouldn't think anything of it. They'd just think, "Oh, it's a boy and a girl kissing", rather than if two straight guys played "Gay Chicken", they'd think, "It's two boys kissing! [insert old-fashioned criticism of homosexuality here]!"

It's always nice to have a reminder of why to never do anything like that at a party where everyone has camera phones. All of a sudden it gets uploaded to FaceTube and your future employer or colleagues might come across it and give you shit for it.

This is a thing that real people do? Trying to "gay" each other into uncomfortableness? That sounds stupid...
Yeah, I don't get it either. Nor had I heard of it until tonight. People are weird.

it just goes to show how not-fully-straight some straight people actually are
I don't think you get it, they aren't doing it to "experiment" but to see who can go the furthest. They get no enjoyment from kissing a person from the same sex, like gay people do, they are doing it 'cos they don't have that attraction.

Here lets look at it this way. Some men will go to any lengths to show up other guys. It's just sort of a thing to them. That's why those types guys will never (or rarely ever) back out of a dare from another guy.

The worst thing to guys like this is to let other guys think they're afraid of something.

Well... You ever hear the saying that nothing is more terrifying to a guy trying to prove his masculinity than the thought he might be gay?

I'll leave you to fill in how Gay Chicken came to be.

Never said it had to make sense, but then again daring each other to stick their tongue to metal in the middle of winter never made much sense either.

What is it if you do it with 2 bisexual people? Would it only work if they aren't attracted to each other.
2 friends of mine used to play a version of gay chicken where they would have their hands on each others asses and just stand there staring at each other until we told them to stop. We told them to stop after a while because they would do it for like 10 minutes and it got kind of awkward. I'm pretty sure they were both straight and had just known each other for a long time but I don't know. If they were gay they havn't come out about it

It's all about personal boundaries, right?
So it would depend on the people. Even people whose sexualities would 'match' could do it, they could see who feels unconfortable first.

I'm gay, but seeing how I have issues with physical contact, I'd be very easily creeped out by anyone doing that (unless we are in a relationship, obviously).

I'd probably feel equally uncomfortable with either sex doing that, unless it was someone I was attracted to (and even then, those are things I need to take slowly)

Guys do this and make fun of "female logic"?! What the hell, man, just what the fresh hell?!
not really, still makes sense. A lot of guys are jerks to their own friends from an outside perspective. Doing something which makes your friends uncomfortable like Gay Chicken still fits in that paradign (as does trash talking and pranks). Granted ive only seen frat guys play that game.
Don't get it. Never will. Not sure I want to.

That old joke about how much men know about women? The opposite applies too.

Besides, there's pranks, there's being a lighthearted jerk, then there's SEXUALLY FEELING EACH OTHER UP TO PLAY CHICKEN.

Guh....
still fits the "guys are jerks" paradign. Not to mention I have never seen a game of gay chicken that involved sexually feeling each other up, I dont think it goes that far most of the time. That scene from scrubs is about as far ive ever seen a game go in real life.

You are making a really big deal over something that very very rarely happens among a certain group. im 29, and ive seen a grand total of 2 games of gay chicken.

If they're super duper gay, than yeah, though regular gays who are like regular straight guys and are comfortable with being seen as the other probably make it less fun. I'm straight and grabbed my friend's crotch and kiss him in a game of gay chicken, and I'm straight without a hesitation knowing it.

I could play this game and maybe hang on for a while. On one hand, I'd be slightly cheating because I am not repelled at the thought of kissing my gender. So it'd really work well for getting all that experience I want.

However... I am very prudish about PDA so I'm sure to lose if someone wanted to get really indecent/carnal in front of an audience. Just... NO. It would upset me.

That's a thing? Surely it depends on how comfortable one is with physical intimacy, rather than whether they are gay or straight.

I don't think 'straight chicken' would work as 'gay chicken' is based on homophobia rather than different tastes. Kissing only holds significance because of what society says. Seeing a couple videos on youtube of this, as I have never heard of this 'game' until now, it is based on revulsion and immature "ewwww gayness" thinking. Sure gay people might think having straight sex is just bleh, but I doubt many are terrified of the idea like a number of straight guys are. As an asexual (I like the emotional connection of a relationship but I'd rather read a book than have sex), I never really understand fetishes, sexual hang ups, or why 'gay chicken' exists.
