If the internet was destroyed, never to be repaired again, how would it affect you and the world?

Personally, if the internet was destroyed...life would be %98 less entertaining. I would probably eventually grow weary and eventually fall out of a majority of my passtimes, also the news would be a lot less interesting.

Also, no more porn.

I would have to *gasp* go outside!

It's a scary place out there, but I would have to risk it...

Well, we survived fine before (and there was porn before), I'd just find something else to do with my time.

Also, the internet is designed to be specifically defended against such an attack, short of global downfall (in which case we'd have more to worry about).

Well, research for essays and the like would be a lot more difficult, I probably wouldn't keep in contact with as many people, and it'd be a lot harder to keep up with some of my favorite passtimes. On the flip side, I'd get out more, which would probably be a good thing.

There are bears out there.

Bears that are in dire need of getting their asses wrestled into submission.

...

I'll be.. uh.. right back. Where the fuck is Radeonx when you need him...

OT: Life itself would change dramatically. No more shopping online! D:
Meaning I have to meet the store-clerk's judgmental stare to obtain my anime. :l

No way, outside? Are you crazy?

I would just burrow deeper underground and resort to shortwave radio to talk to people around the world. Possibly exchange data with others through a radio modem of some sort.

Yes I would figure out a way to make this work. The sunlight burns you see.

There will always be porn. There was porn before the internet, there will be porn after the internet.

I'd probably go outside more. Watch more X-Play to find out about new games. I don't even want to think about it...

Hmm, I found something for this a while back. I can't seem to find it now, but I don't know what I'd do. I'd probably feel very lonely, I don't like going outside, I live inside pretty much, and talk online with IRL and Internet Buddies, it's my main form of communication. I'd probably hope that Valve make good AI for L4D2

Live in a tent and use the network of outside tree roots to make an imitation internet.

Or just be cut off from the outside world long enough to actually go outside..

I would wander the earth, not knowing completely useless facts (such as the height of Machu Picchu is 2,430m high) and occasionally having to use my memory for things.

Oh, also, I would fail university. All my coursework is online :/

The rage and the little or no effort put into grammar in this picture is just a perfect representation of my anger if the event ever happened.

Wouldn't bother me that much really. Would initially take some adjusting to, but my life is outside of the internet anyway.

I honestly think the world would be a better place, albeit less convenient.

It wouldn't affect me all that much but all the facebook addicts, I couldn't help but laugh at them!
